Historia
The campaign of destruction that Axel Soledad and Dallas Cates wreaked on Nate Romanowski and Joe Pickett left both men in tatters, especially Nate, who lost almost everything. Wondering if the civilized life left him vulnerable to attack, Nate dropped off the grid with his falcons in tow to prepare for vengeance. When Joe gets a call from the governor asking for help finding his son-in-law, who has gone missing in the Sierra Madre mountain range, he enlists the help of a local, a rookie game warden named Susan Kany.

Why are there so few books / series this good!
Revisado: 03-03-25
Another superb episode in Joe's eventful life. I enjoyed it so much I didn't want it to end as I knew I would be without a good read for weeks. The consistency, the smooth prose and character development means you never lose the story plot, Lovely narration, a calm relaxing tone is the icing on top. A big thanks! We need more James Lee Burkes, C.J.Boxes in these troubled times.

Historia
Renée Ballard and the LAPD’s Open-Unsolved Unit get a hot shot DNA connection between a recently arrested man and a serial rapist and murderer who went quiet twenty years ago. The arrested man is only twenty-four, so the genetic link must be familial: His father was the Pillowcase Rapist, responsible for a five-year reign of terror in the city of angels. But when Ballard and her team move in on their suspect, they encounter a baffling web of secrets and legal hurdles. Meanwhile, Ballard’s badge, gun, and ID are stolen.

Just what I needed, beautiful story, engaging and I need more soon. Why is this writing so rare? I waste so much time outside of this author and Burke.

Historia
Gaia is dying. That, at least, is what Dr. Lionel Scott believes. A renowned expert in tropical and infectious diseases, Scott has witnessed the devastating impact of illness and turmoil at critical scale. Society as it exists is untenable, and the direct link to Earth’s death spiral; population levels are out of control and people have allowed disarray and disorder to run rampant. While most are concerned about deadly disease, Scott knows that it is truly humanity itself that will destroy Gaia.

Unrecognizable
Revisado: 09-13-23
Sadly my wait for this new novel was in vein, a slow start drew me in but there was no good tale to find. The lack of a good plot makes this a very unsatisfactory listen, I was so looking forward to it too. I think this is the last Salander novel for me. RIP.

Historia
From Joshua Dalzelle comes the follow-up to the number-one best seller Warship. Captain Jackson Wolfe survived the initial incursion of a vicious alien species into human space...barely. He had assumed the juggernaut that had devastated three Terran systems was the herald for a full invasion, but for the last few years it has been eerily quiet along the Frontier. Jackson now struggles to convince the Confederate leadership the threat is still imminent and needs to be taken seriously.

There must be a way of covering a modern social media based crimes story without this. I have loved this character and story lines, the author is wonderful but this one was disappointing. Thanks for the long book,
