Historia
Shy people and introverts generally avoid actively propelling themselves into the public eye. They would much rather work quietly behind the scenes. But is that enough? In our age of increasing workplace competition and seemingly relentless self-promotion, some experts assert that it will be the more "extroverted" personality types, those who speak out at meetings and give charismatic presentations, for example, who will succeed in the business world. But why should extroverts make all the money?

Useful but too long
Revisado: 06-05-07
Just finished the audiobook “Why Should Extroverts Make All the Money?”. It was a little repetitive but it was worth going through. The author talked of the networked world we live in and the importance of building connections and managing your own career. In many ways, through the examples, the book was geared to those starting their own businesses and in particularly consultancies. Yet, it is useful for just about anyone who has introverted tendencies. I’d give in 3 out of 5 stars. Would have given it 4 out of 5 but I felt it was 1-2 hours too long. Hours 4-5 in the audiobook were the best.

Good if you like the Naturalist School
Revisado: 09-21-05
Sure the stories are plan and ordinary and YES Chekhov certainly knows how to word paint most excellently, but in the end I find the works empty; not as rich as works written from the Romantic school. After listening, it left me saying "what's the point"?

Interesting Stories, but Little Practical Impact
Revisado: 04-28-05
Don't believe anyone who says this book is deep. It does give you something to think about however. The principles might (but also might not) be good to role around in your subconscious when doing business strategy. Most likely, the book will educate you a little more on some basic philosophies of chess... perhaps not so much business.

Business Neophyte Book (I think)
Revisado: 04-28-05
The author walked through a history of the modern Marketing profession in a rather dry manner. Perhaps there was some good things in the book... but it was too much (boring and "duh" for those already in the profession)... I didn't finish the book. Perhaps a shorter Abridged version would have been good.

Interesting Theory
Revisado: 04-28-05
The author talk of how a relationship is a place where you find healing from your past [childhood]. Very interesting points and some things were enlightening, however the authors only cover part of the realm of topics that make for a good relationship and I'm not convinced that they truly spelled out how to "Receive Love". Worth a listen however.

Historia
Tremendous in scope, breathtaking in its suspense, Atlas Shrugged is Ayn Rand's magnum opus, which launched an ideology and a movement. With the publication of this work in 1957, Rand gained an instant following and became a phenomenon. Atlas Shrugged emerged as a premier moral apologia for capitalism, a defense that had an electrifying effect on millions of readers (and now listeners) who have never heard capitalism defended in other than technical terms.

Brian Tracy Does it Again
Revisado: 08-16-04
I have never heard anything of Brian Tracy that I have not loved.
You can't listen to it just once. There's just too much there. He presents the material in a simple, practical, and yet deep way that you can both act on and listen to over and over again; catching more each time.
He is my current favorite in this genre; master of Psychology and Self Improvement.

Interesting concepts; a little too Buddhist for me
Revisado: 08-16-04
I got something out of the content as it offers some ideas/techniques and concepts for finding the "center" for your reality. I'm not into some of the spiritual aspects that the author believes (spiritual reading for instance); yet there were some things to take out of the material.
I agree with some of the other reviews; this lecture could have used visuals (or the lecturer could have more clearly used words to laying the discussed "archetypes"). In the end I felt like, because in particular the archetypes described were not clearly laid out, that it was an infomercial for the author's books. In that respect, I was disappointed. I feel that the material should have been more clearly laid out in the lecture format and if we like the content enough, we'd be drawn to further content (in the author's books).
There was something to be gained from the material, but I can't help but thing there are better things out there that are better as a stand alone product.

Historia
Here are 2 classic thrillers by a master of suspense. The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde> explores the split nature of man. Dr. Jekyll, a respectable man, transforms into an alter ego named Mr. Hyde who carries out all the wickedness Dr. Jekyll represses. In the body of Mr. Hyde, Jekyll finds freedom from the bonds of social convention but soon finds himself lured deeper into violence, and ultimately murder. The second tale, Markheim, tells of a robber named Markheim who murders a shopkeeper on Christmas day. Award-winning British narrator Ralph Cosham does justice to these 2 bone-chilling tales.
