Historia
It’s 1984, and life has changed beyond recognition. Airstrip One, formerly known as Great Britain, is a place where Big Brother is always watching, and nobody can hide. Except, perhaps, for Winston Smith. Whilst working at the Ministry of Truth, rewriting history, he secretly dreams of freedom. And in a world where love and sex are forbidden, where it’s hard to distinguish between friend and foe, he meets Julia and O’Brien and vows to rebel.

When itinerant cave diver James Tighe receives an invitation to billionaire Nathan Joyce's private island, he thinks it must be a mistake. But Tighe's unique skill set makes him a prime candidate for Joyce's high-risk venture to mine a near-Earth asteroid - with the goal of kick-starting an entire off-world economy. The potential rewards and personal risks are staggering, but the competition is fierce, and the stakes couldn't be higher. Isolated and pushed beyond their breaking points, Tighe and his fellow 21st-century adventurers must rely on each other to survive....

A “The Martian” sequel, but even better!
Revisado: 09-27-23
The narration was quite good given the multiple accents; he has a very soothing voice. I was really impressed by the “Martian” inspiration but with more backstory and even better technical explanation. 10/10

Historia
During the test flight of a prototype faster-than-light craft, Lt. Commander Ky is flung into an ancient past that never existed. Rome has fallen, defeated by the mighty Carthaginian Empire, its survivors chased off the continent and onto what had been the remote province of Britannia. Hounded by the Carthaginians bent on conquering the known world, Rome is on the verge of destruction. Stranded and alone, except for a tactical AI implanted in his head, Ky has lost everything and must find a way to live in a world different than anything he's ever known.

A technical guide to bootstrapping civilization!
Revisado: 07-06-23
The storytelling is quite thorough and presented no gaps to my software and AI engineering mind. I really like how the author deftly weaves the cloth between mil sci fi and an encyclopedic technical journal. Quite an instructive yet entertaining read!

Historia
The Coalition is reeling. New Vega and its other worlds have fallen beneath the boot of the newly allied Savage marines, and the death count continues to rise at a staggering rate. One thing is clear: The war to come will be a fight for the very survival of the species. For both sides in this conflict, now is the time to become what fate, and victory, demand. The Savages - post-human monsters who believe themselves to be gods - are intent on remaking civilization in their own violent and pathological image. Yet their alliance is tenuous.

Chrometheus is a villain’s villian.
Revisado: 01-04-23
I hated Chrometheus so much. But the storytelling, that I loved. “Gods” is a masterfully woven tale of horror and nostalgia, and Stephen Lang’s voice was the perfect embodiment of him.

Historia
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

A very fun take on lunar expeditions
Revisado: 05-15-22
While the plot is not as good as "The Martian", the story finds a way to be more fun and action packed. I listened to the entire thing with rapt attention, and Rosario Dawson's voice acting is par excellence.
