Historia
Glen Runciter runs a lucrative business - deploying his teams of anti-psychics to corporate clients who want privacy and security from psychic spies. But when he and his top team are ambushed by a rival, he is gravely injured and placed in "half-life," a dreamlike state of suspended animation. Soon, though, the surviving members of the team begin experiencing some strange phenomena, such as Runciter's face appearing on coins and the world seeming to move backward in time.

Great Science Fiction! I can see this is easily an inspiration for Inception. Very weird and entertaining.

He had little idea he was penning a masterpiece that would be eagerly devoured by people in all walks of life centuries after his death.

Appreciate these teachings, now to find a sword on Amazon Prime and put this into practice. Might help against zombies or to at least impress Michonne.

I liked the honesty and tips for good business and how to start with nothing. I didn’t care for the outdated talk about HDTV and the sports references. There is value here, but nothing unique to this book. I did enjoy the hard times story. It was entertaining.

Historia
Bitcoin did not appear out of nowhere. For decades prior to Satoshi Nakamoto’s invention, a diverse group of computer scientists, privacy activists, and heterodox economists tried to create a digital form of money that could operate independently of government control. The Genesis Book tells the story of the people and projects that inspired the invention of the world’s first successful peer-to-peer electronic cash system.

Historia
Since the days of the dot-com bubble in the late 1990s, no industry has made a greater impact on the world than Silicon Valley. And few individuals have done more to shape Silicon Valley than Peter Thiel. The billionaire venture capitalist and entrepreneur has been a behind-the-scenes operator influencing countless aspects of our contemporary way of life, from the technologies we use every day to the delicate power balance between Silicon Valley, Wall Street, and Washington. But despite his power and the ubiquity of his projects, no public figure is quite so mysterious.

Great look into the History of Silicon Valley and Thiel.
Revisado: 08-08-24
Relevant, interesting, entertaining. “The Contrarian” offers an intriguing glimpse into the life Peter Tiel, a figure as enigmatic as he is an influential. I feel the book does a good job of detailing how Thiel amassed his fortune, alongside the setbacks and controversies that have marked his path. Thiel’s complex persona is explored in a way that leaves much for the reader to interpret, making the narrative both thought provoking or and engaging. With its well-paced storytelling, “The Contrarian” is not only entertaining but also highly relevant in understanding the forces shaping our current technological and political landscape. Overall, a compelling read the sheds light on a fascinating character while allowing readers to draw their own conclusions.

Cameron Hanes discovered his true passion for bowhunting when he was twenty. Inspired by the physical challenges of stalking elk in the Oregon wilderness—traversing mountainous terrain, braving erratic weather, and evading his quarry’s even more dangerous predators—he began an ever-evolving journey of self-improvement. To become the best bowhunter of wild elk, to the caliber he believed he could be, Cam realized he would need more than archery skills.

Inspiring To A Certain Extent
Revisado: 08-08-23
I have to admit the audiobook is inspiring, to a certain extent. He does embody sacrifice and suffering, but arrogantly so, even stating he is Humble at one point. I’m on the fence on this book. I appreciate the honesty, and you will get tons of honest point of views. It’s just the repetition of the points gets a little tiring. I did listen to the entire book. I also did get inspired to get out there and run. But I don’t think I could listen to this again. If he came out with another book I would probably buy it, and I actually want to read a physical version of his bow hunting book.

Why are some people and organizations more innovative, more influential, and more profitable than others? Why do some command greater loyalty from customers and employees alike? Even among the successful, why are so few able to repeat their successes over and over? People like Martin Luther King Jr., Steve Jobs, and the Wright Brothers might have little in common, but they all started with why.
