Historia
She's my roommate. I know how she takes her tea, how she organizes her closet. I know when she goes to bed each night, what she eats for breakfast, the passcode on her phone. I know she calls her mother on Mondays, takes barre on Thursdays, and meets her friends for drinks on Fridays. But more important than any of that...I know what she did.

Kept me on the edge of my seat
Revisado: 05-05-21
While the story was great, however with about an hour and twenty minutes left the reader starts sniffing in and you can hear the pages turn and the reader pause for seconds while flipping pages - kind of takes you out moment while listening. It’s a shame because I’ve enjoyed other Minka Kent books.

While it started off a bit slow the first couple chapters I wouldn’t let that deter you! Once the book picks up I couldn’t stop listening, I had to keep listening and finished in about 2.5 days because I had to know what happened next.

This book had a few interesting plots within but I wish the author focused more on those then some of the unnecessary information. Overall a good book and would listen again.

Historia
Our brains do their best to help us out, but every so often they can be real assholes - having meltdowns, getting addicted to things, or shutting down completely at the worst possible moments. Your brain knows it's not good to do these things, but it can't help it sometimes - especially if it's obsessing about trauma it can't overcome. That's where this life-changing book comes in. With humor, patience, science, and lots of good-ole swearing, Dr. Faith explains what's going on in your skull, and talks you through the process of retraining your brain to respond appropriately....

While the book itself is one that I recommend hands down, the performance of the reader was subpar at best. You could hear the edits.
