Historia
Alexei Navalny began writing Patriot shortly after his near-fatal poisoning in 2020. It is the full story of his life: his youth, his call to activism, his marriage and family, his commitment to challenging a world super-power determined to silence him, and his total conviction that change cannot be resisted—and will come. Patriot is Navalny’s final letter to the world: a moving account of his last years spent in the most brutal prison on earth; a reminder of why the principles of individual freedom matter so deeply; and a rousing call to continue the work for which he sacrificed his life.

St. Navalny!
Revisado: 04-01-25
Alexei displayed immovable positive attitude and candor throughout...May God bless and give comfort to his family forever. Much credit to Yulia, his children and his parents for their support and sacrifice. I will pray for Alexei's family and the Russian people who deserve leaders with integrity like Alexei. His bravery and humanity shows the world that Russia's glory didn't end with Solzhenitsyn and Doesteyevski. My hope is that Alexei's example will inspire the next generation of Russian patriots that will end the corruption. The narrator did an excellent job in evoking a credible and warm personality that fits Alexei's writing.

Love the Cotswolds! Love the mystery!

Narration was great. Dialogue between characters in the book was realistic and animated. I loved the plot and descriptions of all the Cotswald towns...that we got to visit on holiday!

Historia
Leon Uris retums to the land of his acclaimed best-seller Exodus for an epic story of hate and love, vengeance and forgiveness. The Middle East is the powerful setting for this sweeping tale of a land where revenge is sacred and hatred noble. Where an Arab ruler tries to save his people from destruction but cannot save them from themselves. When violence spreads like a plague across the lands of Palestine - this is the time of The Haj.

Insight into a 1300 year story that goes back 3500
Revisado: 12-29-16
aside from the salacious parts, portrayal of hatred of jews and each other in the Arab world is displayed, explaining the intransigence of Arab countries. There is plenty of oil $ to build a decent life for Palestinian Arabs anywhere, but they're kept in hell holes in order to excuse their blind hatred for Israel. Sons of Abraham will triumph when their Messiah returns. BHO & JFKerry will be soon forgotten once the new administration corrects this latest in a long line of BHO blunders. The Muslim in chief can return to Indonesia, his real home & roots.

Historia
Meet Harold Fry, recently retired. He lives in a small English village with his wife, Maureen, who seems irritated by almost everything he does, even down to how he butters his toast. Little differentiates one day from the next. Then one morning the mail arrives, and within the stack of quotidian minutiae is a letter addressed to Harold in a shaky scrawl from a woman he hasn’t seen or heard from in twenty years. Queenie Hennessy is in hospice and is writing to say goodbye.
