Historia
Blue Echohawk doesn't know who she is. She doesn't know her real name or when she was born. Abandoned at two and raised by a drifter, she didn't attend school until she was ten years old. At nineteen, when most kids her age are attending college or moving on with life, she is just a senior in high school. With no mother, no father, no faith, and no future, Blue Echohawk is a difficult student, to say the least.

Historia
In 1893, there's no such thing as witches. There used to be, in the wild, dark days before the burnings began, but now witching is nothing but tidy charms and nursery rhymes. If the modern woman wants any measure of power, she must find it at the ballot box. But when the Eastwood sisters - James Juniper, Agnes Amaranth, and Beatrice Belladonna - join the suffragists of New Salem, they begin to pursue the forgotten words and ways that might turn the women's movement into the witch's movement.

Captivating in many ways
Revisado: 05-29-22
I loved this book and found it to be both thought provoking and engrossing. The main characters are all deeply individual and well drawn. The narrators voices for each of them are recognizable and compelling. The story took many turns I did not expect, and kept me interested throughout. The ending was satisfying, but still left me wanting more. I will listen to this again in a few years time and enjoy discovering it all over.

Historia
Why do we get cancer? Is it all just carcinogens and unlucky genetics? The answer is no. This audiobook delves into the underlying reasons why some of us get cancer while others do not, and explains many of the mysteries of why we get sick. Why is a cancer diagnosis a death sentence for some and a life-changing opportunity for others? What allows some people, when given weeks to live, to be happy and healthy for decades to come? Most importantly, what lessons can we learn from those who have beaten illness, so that we can live happily and healthily without ever having to get sick?

Honest and soul nourishing with no judgement
Revisado: 08-05-18
I have followed Katrina Bos for a while and appreciate her quiet, powerful presence as she imparts profound, life changing knowledge. This story of her path to healing breast cancer helped me trust my own heart and grow my confidence to follow my own quirky path. I don't have cancer, but resonated with the path that she so clearly describes. I thought about this book often and was able to apply her wisdom to my own life. I have listened to this book twice and will listen to it again because it nourishes my soul and sustains my heart to hear it. Not to mention that I hear something new each time I listen! This book is a gift on every level.
