Historia
The Demon Lord is dead. The System is broken. Somehow, Elias Hearthsong is neither of these things, despite being at the final battle of the Demon Wars. He is a Master Enchanter, perhaps the last one alive. Determined to keep a promise, he crosses the continent to protect his dead friend's legacy: a crumbling orphanage run by a beautiful kitsune. He isn't a teacher, nor does he have experience with children. But with the love of a few good women, anything can become possible.

Came for monster girl bewbs… ended up with my heart growing
Revisado: 01-01-24
I’ve seriously been a big fan of Annabelle for a while now and I really love how she can write …ummm ….what’s the word…men’s romance! We will just go with that! It’s not really erotica. Yes it is amazingly hot, don’t get me wrong, but it is so much more than that. She writes about good genuine people who aren’t perfect finding love and family. When I listen to her work I often have a tear in my eye and a dumb smile on my face. She knows how to make me genuinely fall in love with the characters. This book is amazing. It is so deep. Eli and all the others are all multidimensional and the story is so rich. I’m also now a big fan of Virgil thanks to this book. I am hoping for much more from this universe.

My favorite from this series so far
Revisado: 04-08-23
Grace is so troubled but at the same time she so wants to be good. Her heart is noble and humble. I can’t wait to see where this story goes.

Historia
Victor Wolfe has roamed his country for 12 years now. Ever since leaving his tiny village to escape to a life that felt worthwhile, he has been traveling the lands, fighting battles, plundering old tombs, and bedding fierce adventuresses. It's been quite the life. But that all changes when he has an encounter with a monster girl, a dryad who opens his eyes to the possibilities that only monster girls can provide. Now he is headed north, toward the famed Hinterlands. An immense forest of wild adventure, ancient ruins, and, in his particular case, intense pleasure.

Historia
Siege the castle? Not my style. Save the world? Never gonna happen. Create a bestiary business with a group of beautiful yet contrasting women? Now that’s more like it! One minute I’m in a tree, pointing my camera at a tiger, the next I’m on my back in a medieval fantasy world, while a skittish blonde hovers over me, hoping I’m not dead. I’ve never felt more alive. Because although the dutiful smith’s assistant warns me away from the town’s sinful witch, I still have to go. The witch has the only bestiary book in town, and that’s my one hope of a comfortable life.

A bit much alpha male
Revisado: 12-23-22
This was a good story, people were believable aside from every woman in the world swooning over this odd alpha male. And he was a bit too much alpha for me. I could tell he was a good guy and wants the best for those he cares for. He seems to have genuine care for ALL of the women. But his big man tendencies and the way he just feels he owns the women made me uncomfortable.

Historia
When Mike Radley inherited a mysterious old house from a long-lost relative, he wasn't sure what to expect. He didn't expect a sexual encounter with the nymph in his bathtub. He really didn't expect to discover a house full of affectionate monsters. And he definitely didn't expect a pair of witches bent on stealing the home's magic from him. Welcome to the Radley House. Expect the unexpected.

I didn’t know I needed this…
Revisado: 07-19-22
I came for something hot, just to pass the time and listen to to make daily tasks easier. I found something incredibly warm, and hot as well. I feel like the hotness is just a bonus though. This was one of the most heartbreaking and heartwarming stories I have read in a long time. Every treasure/monster made me fall in love with them. Mike is so relatable for me it’s insane. This story is simply warm and beautiful. I have found a new author to add to my favorites and I new universe to dream about, to bring a little light and magic to my life that is much needed. Thank you.

So much more than I expected!
Revisado: 06-27-22
This series was like ordering a McDonald’s cheeseburger and getting home to realize there is a New York steak with all the trimmings in the bag, and then a 5 star waiter shows up at your door to cater to you for your dinner. Seriously I was expecting a fantasy novel with a bit of sexy time and some laughs to entertain me while I cook and clean etc. but this was soooo well written and just downright amazing. I burned through all 6 books in 1 month! I want more, so much more!

Golden does not disappoint!
Revisado: 05-31-16
Once again, a fantastic Warcraft novel! I love the orcs and have been obsessed with this story since Warcraft 3. The orcs and their culture have always fascinated me, and she does a great job at giving us a window into the lives of the Frostwolfs! The story of Durutan and Draka is one that I have always wanted more of, and I absolutely love how Draka is portrayed in this novel. Their story got me right in the feels. The only downside is that as a Warcraft fanboy I know how their story ultimately ends and it is absolutely heartbreaking to know that in the back of my mind while reading their story.

Much more than I expected
Revisado: 05-15-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Definitely! One of the deepest and most brilliantly written stories I've read.
What other book might you compare The Eye of the World to and why?
I would say that it is not like many other sword and sorcery novels at all. Reading this book was like ordering a big mac and fries, then realizing that there was a filet mignon with a loaded baked potato in the bag. This story is so much richer, deeper and masterfully spun than any that I have read. The center of the story is not the action that occurs or the adventure that they go on. The focus is the characters and who they are. It tells about the relationships between the individual people, how history, culture and the people around them impact them. Rather than being a simple hack and slash, boom fireball, typical sword and sorcery, this is a book that can show us more about what it is to be human than most other books out there. It is deep and complex, yet it is understandable and easy to relate to. For the first time in years I connected and became attached to the characters in a book and it was amazing. The only thing that this might be compared to is the Sword of Truth Series by Terry Goodkind. However, Jordan takes it up about 10 notches from what Goodkind did.
What does Kate Reading and Michael Kramer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Michael Kramer is wonderful, he is able to capture the voices and personalities that I imagined. I have to say he does the voices of the creepy dark friends and the fades better than I had thought possible. He also captures the troloc and the ogier voices masterfully.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Perin has got to be one of the most complex and dynamic characters, although he is not the main character by any means. How he hates his axe, hates his connection with the wolves, yet treasures them in a way. He is wise, and he is good because he hates killing, yet is extremely good at it. The second that a man enjoys using his weapon is the second that he should throw it into a fire.
