Mr. Santillian, Despite the fact I'm currently living out of your guest room and sleeping with you most nights, I am writing to announce my resignation, effective two weeks from today. In other words, I'll locate someone who is both obscenely overqualified and willing to devote their days to the handful of tasks you are able to wrench from your perfectionist, micromanaging grip.

Amazing!
Revisado: 11-13-21
Have you ever had one of those books that you knew you'd like, but then you read it and it grabbed you, shook you, then wrapped you in a big hug and made you feel like you were not alone in your me-ishness? Or how about a book where you knew you'd like it but there was no way it would compare to (insert favorite hero/heroine/couple) but then you finished it and you just sat there because you think you just discovered your new favorite and your world is now all topsy turvy? Or how about a book that has you in such a book hangover that you can't pick up another book and/or you go back to keep rereading parts to soak in more of the goodness? Well….all of that is what this book did to me.
This book is so much more than I could have ever imagined. Let's start with Ash…he is the grumpiest, growliest, most stubborn hero that I think I've read (yes even more than Patrick). Zelda has a way of not only putting him in his place with his grumpy ways, but she's able to get to the ooey-gooey center. Friends, that ooey-gooey center is the best! You will want to drown yourself in it.
Zelda is a force in a way that you wouldn't expect. Her me-ishness and her story spoke to me on many levels. You will just want to wrap Zelda in a great big Mama Santillian hug, invite her to dinner or pedicures or anything really, and never let her leave. You want to be friends with her, not only for her to help fix your life but because you want to help fix hers.
This is very much a character driven book. You will be so wrapped up in both of them that you won't want to leave. The banter between these two is amazing. I wish I had other words to describe it, but nothing seems to describe the amazingness of it. This book is smart, it's clever, it's raw and real, it hits you will all the feels, and it's beautifully written. Like with any Kate Canterbary book, you will finish it feeling smarter, and feeling like you just found new friends that are now a part of your life.
This is a complete standalone. You do not need to have read any other book to thoroughly enjoy this one. Even if you haven't read any of the other KC books, you should. Wait…change that should to a MUST. She is one of the best authors in this genre. You'll thank me for it later.
If I haven't sold you yet on getting this book…just trust me…GET THIS BOOK! This is one of those books that just 5 stars doesn't do it justice. It deserves 5 million stars.

Adorable and funny
Revisado: 03-29-21
This is such an adorable, funny, and sweet book. This book will draw you in and you will be rooting for both of these characters from the beginning. Their chemistry is off the chart! All the side characters just make the story that much better. The narration was done really well. It's worth a listen.

I shouldn’t be attracted to fire captain Cameron McClain, but I am. He’s too old for me, too alpha for my tastes, and too bossy in the bedroom. Though I have to admit he knows exactly how to use his...firehose. I’m not interested in a forever kind of relationship, but he’s down for whatever I’m willing to give. Our arrangement is perfect. At least that's how it begins. I never wanted the happily ever after, but he’s just so tempting. The smart choice would be to end things before they combust, but for some reason I can’t push Cam away.

I have mixed feelings about this book. The performance is great. These two are fantastic narrators and are always worth a listen. This book is definitely full of steam and hotness. I really like Cam. He definitely earned some major swoon points with me. I couldn't connect with Jill. At times she was so immature, naive, and whiney. I had a hard time putting them together as a couple. There is an age gap and that may be why I just couldn't connect with them as a couple. Mine is just one opinion. There are plenty of others that enjoyed this book.

Historia
Sometimes the most novel approach to love comes when we least expect it.... A lot can happen at a book convention, but for a conservative romance author like me, things remained fairly predictable. Until the unofficial king of smut crashed into my life, leaving sparks - and our luggage flying around us. I had never heard of the illustrious Gage Blackstone, but after two seconds in his presence, my mind was conjuring up scenes that wouldn’t make it into my sweet stories. He was worldly, gorgeous and his eyes promised naughty things to come. Things I never knew I wanted.

Good story
Revisado: 01-05-20
This is my first book by Heather Guimond. Sometimes I'm hesitant about trying authors I've never heard of before, but I was glad I tried her out. This was a cute, fast moving story. There is a little bit of a mystery which was interesting. The author did a good job of keeping you on your toes about "who did it". This is a good girl/bad boy story with a different kind of meet cute. I did like the premise that they are both romance authors. If you are looking for something new then it's worth checking out.

Good story
Revisado: 01-05-20
Once I got into this story I enjoyed it. I'll be honest the first part was a bit rough for me to get through. I did not like either character at the beginning. Once I got farther into the story my opinion changed. While Sutton is a bit whiny, Roark definitely makes up for it. The narration was well done. If you like this author I think you will like this book.

Have you heard the rumor around campus about the locker room? If you haven't, let me enlighten you: Legend has it, if you bring a girl into the sacred aftergame domain of the baseball locker room, it will end with a walk down the aisle. But not all baseball players are superstitious, me included. So, when the girl I've fallen for brushes me off, I start to question if I need to switch my way of thinking. Maybe, it's time I finally hand out a coveted invitation to the locker room. The only question is, will she accept?

Great story
Revisado: 01-05-20
If you like a good college romance then I think you will really like this story. The characters were very likable, there were some hilarious moments, and the characters have great chemistry. The narration on this book was also well done. The story definitely moved along. I really liked most of this story. I think I just wanted a little more at the end. To me the end seemed a little rushed. I loved the ending, but I think I just wanted more because I really fell in love with these characters. Despite my personal preference, this is definitely a book worth checking out.

Historia
Being the princess of the Dark Knights motorcycle club doesn’t come with a white knight or a fairy-tale castle, and that’s okay, because Dixie Whiskey has never needed a man to slay her dragons or make her whole. Even so, after watching each of her brothers fall in love, she’d sure like a shot at her own happily ever after. But with the Dark Knights watching over her and the only man she’s ever wanted out of reach, she’s not holding her breath.

Taming My Whiskey
Revisado: 11-12-19
This is the sixth book in The Whiskeys series by this author. It can be read as a complete standalone. Each book in this series is about a different couple but with interconnected characters. You do not need to read the other books to enjoy this one. I’ll be honest, this is probably my favorite series of this author. The characters, their issues and circumstances, seem more real. I’ve also been looking forward to getting Dixie’s story from the very beginning. She’s the only girl with three overly protective brothers and is surrounded by a whole bunch of other “brothers” and “uncles”. Even in the other books it was always a struggle for her to date. You knew the right one had to be someone special, and Jace Stone is definitely someone special. He’s a big, tough, “not looking for commitment”, just having fun and focusing on my business, alpha male. Even though he’s known Dixie for a while, the switch was finally flipped from “must stay away” to “must have”. There are so many things to love about Jace. He is sexy, sweet, protective, and caring. The chemistry between the two is hot.
I have to be honest, Dixie missed the mark a little for me. While she is sassy and strong in most areas, I think I expected more. There’s a fine line between being vulnerable and being whiny, and she fell slightly on the whiny side for me. Most may not see her this way, and my feelings may be because I had such high expectations for her in all areas. The other thing that missed the mark for me is that the rest of this series is about people with real jobs, real lives, real circumstances, but in this one we are back to the multi-millionaire alpha. I know that may be seem like a ridiculous thing to be picky about, but there are so many books out there where the money is the sign of success and is a focal point of the book. The rest of the series is more about the people and I loved that change of pace.
The narrators for this book were really good. Their voices were the perfect fit for these characters. In general, this was a good book. It was a good addition to this series. There are also hint of what I hope to be future books in this series. If you like this author and this series then definitely check it out.

Light, easy listen
Revisado: 10-06-19
This is the fifth book in the series, but don’t that that deter you if you haven’t read or listened to the others. It is a complete standalone. Each book is a different couple with some interconnected characters. Just like the rest of the books in this series, it is a light, easy, fun book. I typically read Melissa Foster’s books so it was a nice change of pace listening to the audio book instead. The audio is very well done, and the narrators are great. The story is a second chance romance with a lot of serendipity thrown in. Gavin is very swoony. There are so many good qualities to list about him. He is sexy, smart, successful, sweet, thoughtful, and so much more. He is definitely book boyfriend worthy. I had a difficult time connecting with Harper. At times she seemed very immature and overly dramatic about events that happened in her life. She was a likeable character, but there were many eyerolls while listening. Throughout all of it Gavin was still patient with her. He really made the book worth it to me. If you like this author then I’m sure you’ll like this book.

First, there was pain, and now, there is just...nothing. No one can ever understand the losses I've suffered. A solitary existence that consists of my work and the empty house that serves as a constant reminder of all I have lost. After months of paralyzing emptiness, I turn to the Wicked Horse so I can feel something. Anything, really. Any shred of emotion that will explain why I'm still here. Any justification for why my life was spared and theirs were not. It's all in vain. Until she walks in.

Steamy and sexy!
Revisado: 08-15-19
This book is sexy and steamy! If you’ve read or listened to any of this series you know the books are seriously HOT! This book is no exception. This book is also emotional and thought provoking. This book touches on grief and beliefs in such an open and honest way. Benjamin has closed himself off until he meets Elena. The way he began to open up and began to feel and process his grief with her and because of her was so real and raw. Elena is strong and capable and not afraid of who she is. She doesn’t let Benjamin hide but she also won’t beg for attention. Her strength was what put the pieces back together. On top of all these feelings, this book was seriously hot! Their chemistry was sizzling and the sex had me wanting a cigarette. The narrators were great. They really added to the story. If you want a hot, sexy story then definitely check this one out.

Cute concept
Revisado: 08-10-19
I love bags/purses, so I was intrigued by the concept of this book. There are parts of this story that were very funny. Even with those parts, this story fell short for me. This book is more about her dating disasters. I really wanted more of Caroline and Mike. To me there was so much more to know about them and their relationship.
