Historia
Emma is the one that got away. The only survivor of a serial killer known in the tabloids as “The Hairdresser”, because of the trophies he takes from his victims. The police aren't convinced. Nor is her husband. She never actually saw her tormentor properly, but now she recognizes him in every man she sees. Haunted by the horrifying incident and unwanted notoriety, Emma gives up her job as a psychiatrist and retreats from the outside world to recuperate at home, where it’s quiet. Where she can be anonymous and safe. Where no one can hurt her.

How slow it was. I couldn’t bare to finish the book. Just my personal opinion no reflection on the writer’s talent
Revisado: 05-24-24
Just not my cup of tea. Any book written from the point of view of a mentally unstable person is hard to read for me.

Historia
Grace Hale was home from college when she first heard the family legend. In 1947, while her beloved grandfather had been serving as a sheriff in the Piney Woods of south-central Mississippi, he prevented a lynch mob from killing a Black man who was in his jail on suspicion of raping a white woman—only for the suspect to die the next day during an escape attempt. It was a tale straight out of To Kill a Mockingbird, with her grandfather as the tragic hero. This story, however, hid a dark truth.

Awful book racist writer!
Revisado: 11-17-23
Most racist book I have ever heard. The writer should be ashamed! John Grisham shouldn’t have attached himself to this pig!

Historia
On the evening of their engagement party, Maine Game Warden Investigator Mike Bowditch and Stacey Stevens witness what seems to be a hit-and-run speedboat crash on a darkened lake. When they arrive at the scene, their spotlight reveals a gruesome sight: a severed arm floating just beneath the surface. As day breaks, the warden dive team recovers not one but two naked corpses: a dismembered man and the married woman with whom he was having an affair. Mike begins to suspect the swimmers' deaths were not a senseless accident but a coldly calculated murder.

I love all the Mike Bowtich books. The plot was very good. I liked the way it ended. The step father interaction was really a good idea!

Bill Stanton I finally learned something!
Revisado: 02-18-22
I really enjoyed this book. I have been in sales and sales management for 25 years. I learned that things I do instinctively after many years of trial and error, at recognizing when the feel in the room is right. Is based in basic brain chemistry. Ron, not only explained where you need to get with a customer mentality but teaches you how to get there. Getting to the perfect level of interest and comfort without moving to a level of anxiety that will make a conversation uncomfortable and ultimately unsuccessful. I like Ron Karr for another reason. He doesn’t just blather on about all the reasons why he is successful. To help his client “Me” he explains what he thinks is the best approach, he explains how to make it work, and he tells you why it works! Why for me is essential! Buy this book and get a jump on things that took me 20 years to figure out.
