High King Sioman (mooncalf) Snowlock and all his remaining friends, Eolair, Tiomack, Duke Isgrimnal, Miriamel, Sludig, Bin-binakae-kibenick (Binabick), Siskenanamook, Jerimias, Jeriche, and Aditu return in this sequel series to Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn (MSAT). Set thirty something years after the end of MSAT, this return to Osten Ard is everything I hoped. Many new interesting characters are introduced including: Prince Morgan, Simon's irresponsible grandson and little Stennek, Binnabiks soon to be son-in-law and singing man in training. It starts off slow and peaceful, which is a good thing, and is almost relaxing; it really reintroduces us to what has been happening in Osten Ard for the past 30 something years. By the end things have picked up, and all that peace is gone,...... almost as if it where just a memory. I am eagerly await the next installment.

Andrew Wincott does a great job narrating as well. He also narrated the books in the MSAT series, so it is great hearing the same voice for the same characters.

Disclaimer: I listened to this book as well as the other books in the series, so the names could be spelled wrong.

This book was what you expect. A class of girls undergo rigorous physical and genetic enhancement, become next to unstoppable and generally kick butt through the whole book.

The narrator was really good. She had different voices for the characters with different backgrounds and it was easy to get absorbed into her narration.

If you generally like this kind of book, then check it out!

Would you listen to Catalyst again? Why?

Yes, this was a great book. Its only detracting factor is it's narrator. The ending was great. The final battle lasted over an hour and was awesome.

Who was your favorite character and why?

HELLSFIRE! He really matured throughout the book and grew into ..... a wizard.

How could the performance have been better?

The narrator was very monotone, but I was still able to enjoy it.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No.

Any additional comments?

This book was OK. All it does is introduce Tarah Woodblade into the bowls of souls universe. Justan and company were in the very end for like 5 minutes and that was the best part of the book. I would still listen to it though, because it is still part of the series and the next book is much better.

The book, "A Warrior's Path: The Castes and the OutCastes Book 1" was far better than I expected.
The best aspect of this book are the characters and the character development. Too often in fantasy books characters are drowned out by the story. In this book, none of the characters are stagnant and by the end some of them have drastically changed. I have also listened to book two and it is better than the first one.

Nick Podehl as usual(I have listened to his performance of, "The Kingkiller Chronicles" by P. Rothfuss and, "The Moontide Quartet" by D. Hair) was awesome. He was the initial reason I started this book and he does not disappoint.

If you are looking for a book that is going to be hard to put down or in audiobook terms "turn off", than this is it.

Would you consider the audio edition of One Good Dragon Deserves Another to be better than the print version?

I would. Vikes Adam really does do a good job, with the various accents in the book.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character was Justin. I liked how impulsive and full of himself he was.

What about Vikas Adam’s performance did you like?

This goes back to question 1. Accents.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, because then I would be out of an audiobook.

Any additional comments?

If you have read Heartstrikers book one and liked it, then you really should get book two. It is even better. I will certainly be listening to book three when it comes out!

Would you try another book from Brandon Sanderson and/or Jack Garrett?

Good if it was a a book by any random author. But doesn't match the caliber that I am used to from reading books by Brandon Sanderson. It was much slower paced then mistborn series, warbreaker, or the way of kings. Still good though.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

It was good

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Sure.

Do you think Elantris needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Yes, I do; because Brandon told us what questions he didn't answer yet from his elantris universe in the end of elantris. A second book would answer these questions.
