A fun second chance romance
Revisado: 03-07-24
The author interweaves the story of the main character’s mother, looking at making changes in her life and romance as well as the push me pull you of the second chance romance with Ahmad and Harper.
The characters were memorable and the family and friends dynamics were fun.

So nice to see a main character with a disability
Revisado: 03-05-24
What I loved about this book was having a character with a diagnosis of Rheumatoid arthritis that has put her in a tailspin.
Will she ever have a love life with someone who can accept her fully and be able with the devastating effects she's sure she'll end up with?
I also love a story about a creative, as Eric Hunt is. The premise was well thought out.
I felt like the author could have made Kerri a stronger character.

I couldn't stop listening
Revisado: 10-28-23
This book had me going from the start. I love the characters, the close friendships, the faith base.
It was nice to have a faith filled book that has real people in it...ones who are flawed, yet forgiven. And being flawed and making mistakes, but working through those things together.
They had a lot to work out but I was happy to see that they sought counseling.
I can't wait to read another book by this author.

Compelling characters, page turner
Revisado: 06-17-23
This story had me from the start. It was compelling and kept me turning pages.
As an artist, and one who has done a lot with clay, I could relate to her creation of the busts.
Watching Lexie and Hugh, and even Nate wrestle with the motivations for their actions was
so real. Examples are when Lexie is drawn to Nate because of his perceived faith, Nate feeling intensely that he needs to woo Lexie because of Satan’s power over him and the threat of losing his daughter, and Hugh’s struggle with putting faith in science without a hint of understanding about
God.
The author puts the characters into situations that raise the stakes and keep you reading (listening).
I found it to be theologically on target as well.
As a listener, I was forever distracted by the reader’s breaths. It would have been so much better
If the editor had taken the time to take them out.

Historia
What was supposed to be one of the happiest days of my life turned into my worst nightmare. After losing my wife, my daughter is all I live for. Well, her and the ranch. Between work and my family, I keep myself busy. I don’t have time for relationships, nor do I even want one. It’s the way I like it. The way I need it. If I don’t open up, I won’t love.

A single dad, small town romance
Revisado: 05-08-23
From the first sentence all the way through the book, there was no doubt of the dad’s love for his little daughter. She was a reminder of his wife who died, and just an adorable love of his life.
In comes Presley, who he is immediately attracted to you, but is so worried about losing someone else he loves leading to a lot of push me pull you.
I would rather have read this book than listened to it simply because in my mind, it would’ve been so much better to have the male voice mixed in with the female voice rather than him trying to do a female voice and Hadley‘s voice. And for the female voice to try to do the male voice. it was confusing and would’ve just been so much more amazing if they had coordinated the recordings together.
I listen to you and obtain this copy from Story Origin.

Hey, sweet enemies to lovers
Revisado: 01-14-23
This is a fast paced book with lots of shenanigans. It addresses hurt from abandonment.
The performance was great. I felt like the narrator matched the main character.

I have exactly 5 hours and 10 minutes to get from Boston to New York City or the professional opportunity of a lifetime disappears. My only travel option? The second to last seat on a discount bus. Across from the bathroom. Wearing last night’s clothes (don’t ask). All worth it if I can make it in time.

What a delight!
Revisado: 12-02-22
This story is read like a reader’s theater. It was absolutely delightful! The narrators were perfect to tell the story of a guy and a girl who end up on a bus ride together and share their stories. It was very well written and I couldn’t push the pause button until the very end
