Historia
Conn may only be a wizard's apprentice, but even he knows it's dangerous to play with fire, especially around magic. His master, Nevery, warns him that it could all blow up in his face. Besides, they have bigger problems to deal with. There is evil afoot in the city of Wellmet, an evil that isn't human.

I Love this Series
Revisado: 10-25-22
My mom had me listen to the audio while I read along with the book. I had already read the first book that had me gripped and excited to go to the next book. But again it was a little slow while the characters and story were being built. But at about chapter 7 it started getting good. I finished this book in about a week. I'm starting book 3 tomorrow. I'm so excited. This is my favorite series so far.

Historia
In a city that runs on a dwindling supply of magic, a young boy is drawn into a life of wizardry and adventure. Conn should have dropped dead the day he picked Nevery's pocket and touched the wizard's locus magicalicus, a stone used to focus magic and work spells. But for some reason he did not. Nevery finds that interesting, and he takes Conn as his apprentice on the provision that the boy find a locus stone of his own.

My mom had me listen to the audio while I read along with the book. At first it was slow and I had a hard time staying focused, Mom forced me to continue reading every day and I'm glad she did. By the time I got to about the middle of the book, it really got good and I was excited to read. I've never read a full series before, but now I'm will be starting book 3 tomorrow. I'm so excited. This is my favorite series so far.
