Historia
April May and the Carls are back in the much-anticipated sequel to Hank Green's number-one New York Times best-selling debut novel, An Absolutely Remarkable Thing. The Carls disappeared the same way they appeared, in an instant. While they were on Earth, they caused confusion and destruction without ever lifting a finger. Months later, the world is as confused as ever. Andy has picked up April’s mantle of fame; Maya, ravaged by grief, begins to follow a string of mysteries that she is convinced will lead her to April; and Miranda infiltrates a scientific operation.

I love Hank
Revisado: 04-12-25
I love Hank and John, I love their videos so much, we are close in age so I feel like they are my friends when I watch their videos, so when John started writing I loved his books, they are a bit young for me but I like them anyway, and then Hank started writing as well and I was so happy.
I really enjoyed the Carls, I understand it might not be everyone's cup of tea, but please give it a chance, its a good series.
All that said, I was a bit disappointed that Hank sounds very different on this second one (I listened to the audiobook) it doesn't take anything away from the story nor affects it in any way, but I just know Hanks voice so well that it was weird to listen to it and it sounded so different, his voice on the first one was his usual voice and here is more serious and toned down, anyone else picked up on that?
I really hope he continues writing and maybe why not even a cowrite with John?

Petition to ask Lizzy Caplan to narrate more
Revisado: 04-11-25
I love Lizzy Caplan and I'm pretty sure this is her first book narration and she crushed it.
I've heard several of James Patterson's Audible Originals and loved them all.
Cliché? Yes, Predictable? Absolutely, Very entertaining? Hell yeah.
I wont give it 5 stars just because one minor detail. She was FBI, I'm pretty sure they get like a special training and all but she was taken down multiple times? I don't believe that, she should had been a super bad ass b1tch, that's the only complaint I have, other than that it was a very entertaining story.
Petition to ask Lizzy Caplan to narrate more please.

Augustus Everett is an acclaimed author of literary fiction. January Andrews writes best-selling romance. When she pens a happily ever after, he kills off his entire cast. They’re polar opposites. In fact, the only thing they have in common is that for the next three months, they're living in neighboring beach houses, broke, and bogged down with writer's block.

TW Deals with father loss
Revisado: 07-23-22
(I really wish books came with TWs)
I'm glad to have read People we meet on vacation first, I loved that one, this one however I was expecting to be the same but it was a little more serious, it deals with the loss of a father and I lost mine so it was a little hard for me and I had to skip the letters chapter but over all I liked it, not 5 stars like the other one but 4 seems fine. I'm looking forward to read Book lovers now.

I was not expecting that
Revisado: 06-19-22
This was unexpected, at the beginning I though it was just like that Blake Lively movie "The Age of Adeline" and TBH I was kind of disappointed, but as the story continued I understood that it was something completely different and I loved it.
The relation between Addie and the Shadow is just so unexpected it had me gasping, the relation between Addie and Harry was a bit predictable sometimes though, but the ending, I did not see that coming.
I usually listen while working or while commuting so sometimes I get lost a bit and specially here with the time line but other than that I really enjoyed it.

Greece in the age of heroes. Patroclus, an awkward young prince, has been exiled to the kingdom of Phthia to be raised in the shadow of King Peleus and his golden son, Achilles. “The best of all the Greeks”—strong, beautiful, and the child of a goddess—Achilles is everything the shamed Patroclus is not. Yet despite their differences, the boys become steadfast companions. Their bond deepens as they grow into young men and become skilled in the arts of war and medicine—much to the displeasure and the fury of Achilles’ mother, Thetis, a cruel sea goddess with a hatred of mortals.

Im in tears
Revisado: 06-10-22
This has to be one of the most beautiful books I've ever read, the way Patroclus speaks and he describes things and people and his feelings its just beautiful.
I don't agree with booktok, they all seem to say this book will break you, yes the end is very sad and yes the love story is very passionate but its a good amount of passion and sadness I think.
I didn't read the Iliad so I went in blind, I did know a little of Achilles story but still the ending was amazing.
I would give it 10 stars if it would let me, its definitely in my top 10 favorites now

I want to live in Aeaea
Revisado: 06-10-22
This is just amazing, I read The Song of Achilles first and I couldn't put it down so I as soon as I finished I started Circe, I only wished Audible had more of her books.
Circe is the daughter of the Greek God of the Sun Helios and how she was sent to live in a deserted island, i really didn't think I would like it but it was amazing.
Also the narrator is amazing, her voice and speed just transported me to Aeaea and the way Madeline describes things is so perfect.
I saw several reviews complaining about retelling, I don't understand, I've never heard of Circe before, I didn't read the Iliad so I went in blind just like with Achilles

Revisado: 06-10-22
This is the 4th and last one of the Practical Magic series and at this point I'm in love with all the characters and it was very hard for me to finish it knowing someone had to go (no spoilers)
I love the story and the voice and speed of the narrator, I will definitely be reading more from Hoffman.
It took me about a month to finish cuz I kept putting it off by reading something else, but at last I'm done and I'm gonna miss all the Owens sisters.

At first I didn't believe her either but then I started suspecting the husband and the friend, I enjoyed, I just think the ending was very rushed, like they were asked to finish the book by tomorrow and they just wrote what ever to finish it, We have this whole plot of the husband and Beth and the friend and her secrets and it all ends in the last 10 minutes.

Somewhere out beyond the edge of the universe there is a library that contains an infinite number of books, each one the story of another reality. One tells the story of your life as it is, along with another book for the other life you could have lived if you had made a different choice at any point in your life. While we all wonder how our lives might have been, what if you had the chance to go to the library and see for yourself? Would any of these other lives truly be better? In The Midnight Library, Nora Seed finds herself faced with this decision.

Its not what I thought
Revisado: 06-10-22
(I'm not an easily triggered person but I do think this needed a trigger warning since it deals with suicide very heavily, also loss of her parents and friends)
From the description I understood it was a story of different lives of different people and how they might entwine, I was a bit disappointed when it turned out to be just one person, but it was ok, its well told however it gets a bit boring when she notices she doesn't really like any of her lives.
Then it kind of turns into a self help book somehow, self help its important and I've read a few of those but its just not what I signed in for when choosing this book.
Ill give it 3 stars cuz I did like the story and the idea of the library, also it was very interesting to see how it was her who didn't really like, not her life
