Interesting story telling with emphasis on the unique perspectives of the main protagonists. I like the symbolism of bringing back magic- The only way we can transcend oppression.

Historia
Drawing on a wealth of untapped archival materials and the reports of generations of family members - mayors, judges, scholars, diplomats, and journalists - The Hundred Years' War on Palestine upends accepted interpretations of the conflict, which tend, at best, to describe a tragic clash between two peoples with claims to the same territory. Instead, Khalidi traces a hundred years of colonial war on the Palestinians, waged first by the Zionist movement and then Israel, but backed by Britain and the United States, the great powers of the age.

This is a very good historical perspective of the Israel/Palestinian conflict. It sounds pretty objective for a first person, likely not unbiased narrative.

A great alternative perspective
Revisado: 02-06-24
African Proverb: Until a lion learns to write, every story will glorify the hunter… lol.
This is a very reasonable alternative view of the origins of Egypt civilization. While there is still room for development and research, as the author rightly stated, the points in this book are sound and more reasonable than preceding thoughts- I think.
Also rebuts quite well critiques against the proposed views.

Riveting fictionalized African spiritual
Revisado: 12-29-23
I have watched and read, all through my life, the escapades of the Olympian and European gods. Now I see we can do same with ours as Africans. This is a wonderfully written story of a lesser African deity self actualizing through love and ambition. Talabi did well to incorporate a wide geographical and cultural entities to interest a wide range of readers.

It is quite amazing the depth and breadth of knowledge. The bring of personal experience to bear on the dynamics and ramifications of race relations over the past few centuries makes listening to this pretty vivid and edifying.

I would imagine that anyone listening to this is thinking about similar ideas.
All that I heard resonated true with my consciousness. This is so well researched and expressed and I can only agree with all I heard.
This is a nice and concise starting point on the fundamentals of consciousness- from consciousness as an experiencer to the possibility of it being a fundamental component of matter.
