Not my favorite

This one wasn't my favorite. I had high hopes since I loved dungeons and drama. I think the issue I had is that their relationship didn't seem built on anything except sexual attraction. I was confused how they could be able to "love" each other that much. It seemed shallow to me.
I also thought the kissing and sexual innuendos werent appropriate for teens their age.
I love the dnd and the interesting characters. I think the bullying made an interesting plot and appreciated the happy ending.

So sweet!

I really enjoyed this! Such a sweet, feel good romance. The characters are very lovable and their relationship is interesting and compelling.
I give it 4 stars only because the ending was a bit rushed and I thought it lacked a bit more relationship and character development. The actors were great and audio was a fun experience.

An interesting sequel

I've been enjoying this series although I feel like it got a little weird and a little less fun in this one. I do enjoy getting you to know the side characters better. But I missed the fun and silliness of the castle.
There is so much to love about all the characters and I think they are written very well.

I enjoyed this book a lot the first time and the second time a little less but still good. I understood it a little better the second time which I think makes it more interesting. Its a sort of coming of age book. Hapless is very lovable. Actually all the characters are. The resolve at the end is very sweet.

Cute teen romance!

I have read a lot of clean romance in my time and this is easily one of my favorites. It's a story that has been told a million times (pretending to be in love and then falling in love) but I still likes this take on it. The characters are really fun. I enjoyed that it was a bit of a coming of age book along with the romance.

great story, excellent narration

This was my favorite book yet. The ending had me in tears! what I disliked about the other two was just how mean her classmates were to her for stupid reasons. This one doesn't have any of that and she also overcomes it finally at the end. It is a bit weird/sci-fi-y at some parts and that surprised me. I will also admit that the character arch of her dad is a little too good to be true but I sort of love that. That's the beauty of fiction! I'm expecting a book 4 since there were a lot of unanswered questions about him. It was well done!

This is a fun, wholesome listen. it's got such an interesting magic system that takes place in the modern world. The characters are complex and relationships interesting. I loved the moment of resolution when she comes into herself. "I am the real Amelia Jones!" Very good

good story awful narration

I liked the story. it was pretty... tense (stressful?) for much of it. There were a few plot holes that I didn't mind too much. The characters are very lovable and I especially loved that she was able to overcome her problems on her own. A good character arch.
The narration was terrible in my opinion. Definitely advise sampling it before you buy it.

Long but fabulous!

I love this story! Jenny Agutter is a pleasure to listen to. It is a bit long and has a few characters that go into long, boring monologues. But besides that, Emma is probably my favorite of Jane Austen’s heroins.
