An awesome look into the backstory of one of the more intriguing supporting characters from the Renegade Star series of books. I was pleasantly surprised with the route taken with the first book! The pack finishes the second book with a satisfying conclusion to lead you into the main series. ... even if I want more details to bridge the gap. 🤣

Wild Ride

There's no magnificent prose here or anything, but it's highly, highly entertaining. It's one silly situation after another, and ya can't stop chuckling. Baldwin does a great job narrating, with a (to me anyway) surprising adeptness to use voices for each different character that keeps them easily identifiable. All in all, well worth the time and wheezing from laughing.

Good story but...

Sex in a novel is fine. Never had a problem with it. Even graphic, thoroughly described sex. But good grief some of the sex in this book just doesn't feel necessary, at least the amount of it that's written.
Aside from that, it's a highly entertaining story, seems well thought out with some decent world building. The characters are fun and distinctive, and Leo does a great job of giving each individual their own voice.
I'll be picking up the next book and I'll rather my final judgment on everything until I'm through that one.

Chaney/Yanez do a magnificent job expanding on the universe Chaney built for us! With an awesome cast of new characters and a surprising turn of events the story definitely keeps you interested.
Props to Ray Porter's narration skills as well! Never found myself bored or disinterested, never had trouble knowing what characters I was hearing.
Can't wait to devour the next book!

Harem stuffs

JUST so people know going into this, in case the description wasn't enough. There's a heavy underlying (or maybe not so underlying) harem theme. Highly entertaining nevertheless! It's like reading a book about someone that got sucked into the game Ark: Survival Evolved with a hilarious narrative and interesting characters.
