Historia
Without John C. Houbolt, a mid-level engineer at NASA, Apollo 11 would never have made it to the moon. Top NASA engineers on the project, including Werner Von Braun, strongly advocated for a single, huge spacecraft to travel to the moon, land, and return to Earth. It's the scenario used in 1950s cartoons and horror movies about traveling to outer space. Houbolt had another idea: Lunar Orbit Rendezvous. LOR would link two spacecraft in orbit while the crafts were travelling at 3,600 miles an hour around the moon. His plan was ridiculed and considered unthinkable.

Historia
The Main and Hazard families clash on and off the Civil War’s battlefields as they grapple with the violent realities of a divided nation. America's master storyteller continues his reign with Love and War, a story steeped in passion and betrayal. With the Confederate and Union armies furiously fighting, the once-steadfast bond between the Main and Hazard families continues to be tested. From opposite sides of the conflict, they face heartache and triumph on the frontlines as they fight for the future of the nation and their loved ones.

Historia
From noted historical nonfiction writer Franklin Hook comes this compelling true tale of one particular invasion and one particular man. Bruce Beard was one of many soldiers involved in the controversial US invasion of Panama in 1989. Despite a record of good conduct, his service was marred by drug abuse. Without the resources to deal with his problem, Beard fell apart until he ended up with a bad conduct discharge and since returning home has been denied care for his PTSD.

Interesting, but mistitled
Revisado: 06-16-19
The book has some very interesting facts and information surrounding the take down of Panama and Noriega. Operation Just Cause was mentioned because of the parallel time frame regarding this book and Beards dismissal.
PTSD, TBI and other mental or physical issues resulting from traumatic situations experienced while serving in the military is the main focus of this book.
It does bring to light why we have so many homeless vets on the streets. The government system has patted on the backs of the young brave men and women for enlisting to defend or country. However, the government doesn't stand behind them when the evils of wars break these lives.
Even the civilian world has turned their backs on these heroes. Shameful.
As far as the title, yes it was written to reflect the drug abuse and the ramifications during the time of Operation Just Cause, Operation Acid Gambit and others as well as the rescue of Curt Muse, but I think I would have titled it something like, "Yankee Gone Home - Head Low, Held High (an account leading up to and during Noriega's capture)"
