Historia
Emilia Davenport is ready to die. She always knew her time would come sooner rather than later, and now, as she stands over the edge of the cliff on the impending one-year anniversary of her twin daughters’ disappearance, she’s finally ready to bring this idea to fruition. After a night of celebration quickly turned tragic at her family’s vineyard last summer, Emilia’s worst nightmare came true when her sixteen-year-old daughters didn’t come home. The only thing more grim was watching it destroy her husband and five-year-old son in equal measure.

Heartbreaking in so many ways
Revisado: 02-05-25
This book grabbed me right from the beginning! I felt so anxious for the FMC - what she was going through, and the choice she was trying to make made me want to keep listening to find out what happened to her. I loved how the author built the story with chapters from the past and the present. I thought the story was over a chapter before it actually was, and was thinking it was a pretty good story, but then that last chapter - BOOM. Took it out of my "pretty good" rating and made it fantastic! I am still thinking about the impossible choices that were made and how heartbreaking those choices were to make.
Great book - a solid 5 ⭐️ for me.

On December 24th, 1998, fifteen-year-old Annie Ryan attended a Christmas party at her uncle William's palatial estate. She arrived at five, sat down for dinner at six, and then excused herself from the dinner table around 6:15. She was never seen again. William Ryan, looking for a new set of eyes, hires Bobby McGowan to take the case. After all, Bobby found his mother's killer after twenty years. How much more difficult could this be?

Terrific!

This book was just as good as The Photo Album. The characters are great, the story is really interesting and well put together. Bobby McGowen is one of those wonderfully fun and witty characters that you hope comes back for more adventures. Excellent sequel to an excellent first book in the series.
