Historia
This is the story of Condoleezza Rice that has never been told, not that of an ultra-accomplished world leader, but of a little girl - and a young woman - trying to find her place in a sometimes hostile world, and of two exceptional parents, and an extended family and community, that made all the difference.

The love of her parents was so much a part of who she was and so neat to see the sweetness in her gratitude.

Historia
On The Power of Vulnerability, Dr. Brown offers an invitation and a promise - that when we dare to drop the armor that protects us from feeling vulnerable, we open ourselves to the experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives. Here she dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and reveals that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage.

A breath of fresh reality
Revisado: 06-19-15
When someone can inspire the courage to not only accept oneself with all her gifts and quirks but celebrate them and encourage them with others, then reading is time well spent. Embracing the truths that one is enough is a theme I saw. I don't think the intention was to be complacent in acceptance of oneself but to love others and to be loved by others using and growing the gifts we have. If we can lay aside the need to look perfect and live LIFE instead of surviving it, I think we are hearing Brene's message. This works and holds weight because this lady lives the words she speaks admitting her imperfections and even using them in vulnerability to help others grow. What sweet words that can connect us with the person God designed is to be as we grow in our gifts and accept our short comings.

Andy sticks to what he does best. He pulls from biblical principles to help create a picture for what that looks like practically. His narration skills help to make it feel more like a one on one experience.

Historia
There is a competitive advantage out there, arguably more powerful than any other. Is it superior strategy? Faster innovation? Smarter employees? No, New York Times best-selling author, Patrick Lencioni, argues that the seminal difference between successful companies and mediocre ones has little to do with what they know and how smart they are and more to do with how healthy they are.

If you could sum up The Advantage in three words, what would they be?
Lencioni pulls together his best work to provide an overview for the reader. It's interesting and helps one to be able to see the big picture. Good place to start if beginning work on an orgnaization.
