Historia
Jim Thorpe rose to world fame as a mythic talent who excelled at every sport. Most famously, he won gold medals in the decathlon and pentathlon at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics. A member of the Sac and Fox Nation, he was an All-American football player at the Carlisle Indian School, the star of the first class of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and played major league baseball for John McGraw’s New York Giants. Even in a golden age of sports celebrities, he was one of a kind.

Great Sport Hero that shaped modern Day Sports
Revisado: 10-31-22
Overall this is good informative read, especially the first half. Very few authors can read their own books, this one should not. I prefer honest history, including the good the bad and the ugly. This author was fairly good, but seem to see no value in the western influence on native Americans, only bad. On this topic, the book does “not” seem balanced.

Historia
As President Barack Obama's adviser on Russian affairs, Michael McFaul helped craft the United States' policy known as "reset" that fostered new and unprecedented collaboration between the two countries. And then, as US ambassador to Russia from 2012 to 2014, he had a front-row seat when this fleeting, hopeful moment crumbled with Vladimir Putin's return to the presidency. This riveting inside account combines history and memoir to tell the full story of US-Russia relations from the fall of the Soviet Union to the new rise of the hostile, paranoid Russian president.

So so account US Russian diplomacy
Revisado: 07-15-22
The upside of this book is the author provide his real life experience as a diplomat with Russia. He has some insight to how we got to where we are today with Putin.
The downside of this book is the writer overly favorable to the obama of years of Russian diplomacy, And appears to wine about the trump years. He doesn’t seem to grasp that heavy focus on Trump collusion - meant Trump could not work on a practical and new resent with Russia. Also the Reader style and tone comes across to me as Haughty. The author does have a good speaking voice, It’s a shame he did read himself.

Historia
In this audio investigation - unavailable in book form - Lewis narrates his 2018 report from Washington originally published in Bloomberg View. From inside the White House press room - which Lewis describes as having "the cramped, uncared-for feel of a public toilet" - to a balcony overlooking "a sea of white people" in the Trump International Hotel, to Steve Bannon's Capitol Hill townhouse, where he joins the former campaign CEO to watch the State of the Union address, Lewis takes listeners on an unforgettable behind-the-scenes tour.

Lewis has tunnel vision
Revisado: 10-20-18
I greatly enjoy and respect Lewis's work and love when he reads his own material. In this narrative his partisian politicks come out highly focused in one direction. He clearly is in a tunnel vision mode, he can see nearly no good - with a hyper focus on the bad. It reminds me of people who could see no good in Obama's politics. Come on Michael -- you can do better (don't follow the crowd).

Historia
In the mid-70s, Steve Martin exploded onto the comedy scene. By 1978 he was the biggest concert draw in the history of stand-up. In 1981 he quit forever. Born Standing Up is, in his own words, the story of "why I did stand-up and why I walked away".

Historia
When Barry Fairweather dies unexpectedly in his early 40s, the little town of Pagford is left in shock. Pagford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey, but what lies behind the pretty façade is a town at war. Rich at war with poor, teenagers at war with their parents, wives at war with their husbands, teachers at war with their pupils.... Pagford is not what it at first seems. And the empty seat left by Barry on the town's council soon becomes the catalyst for the biggest war the town has yet seen.

Historia
In this smart and funny book, celebrated cartoonist Zach Weinersmith and noted researcher Dr. Kelly Weinersmith give us a snapshot of what's coming next - from robot swarms to nuclear fusion powered-toasters. By weaving their own research and interviews with the scientists who are making these advances happen, the Weinersmiths investigate why these technologies are needed, how they would work, and what is standing in their way.

Content good - reader annoying
Revisado: 02-02-18
Is there anything you would change about this book?
The content is good and interesting and perhaps inspiring.... The author choose to read and I found hard to listen to. Listen to the sample recording before purchasing. I recommend the other co-author give it a go, or find a professional.
