Pera Sinclair was nine the day the pilot intentionally crashed his plane into her family's grand home, killing everyone inside. She was the girl who survived the tragedy, a sympathetic oddity, growing stranger by the day. Over the decades she rebuilt the huge and rambling building on the original site, recreating what she had lost, each room telling a piece of the story of her life and that of the many people who died, both before and after the disaster. And while she doesn't believe in ghosts, she's not above telling a ghost story or two to those who come to visit Sinclair House.

I had read a couple of Hereward and Fitz stories before and was so excited for this. Totally paid off! More insights into the characters, more adventures, and so much detail in the world building. I want more. I want a novel and a series of novels and a movie

Creepy and uncomfortable in a good way

I love Sarah’s short stories so decided to try this. Super creepy and in depth character work that made me really feel for the main character but also feel on edge as to what she was going to reveal. Sarah did a wonderful job of building the tension and layering the story.
