Historia
When his mother became President, Alex Claremont-Diaz was promptly cast as the American equivalent of a young royal. Handsome, charismatic, genius—his image is pure millennial-marketing gold for the White House. There's only one problem: Alex has a beef with the actual prince, Henry, across the pond. And when the tabloids get hold of a photo involving an Alex-Henry altercation, U.S./British relations take a turn for the worse.

Fantastic book! Not only was it cute and funny, but it was surprisingly inspirational. If only America went blue in 2016 like it did in this story. What a different place we could be.
Very grand and epic romance. Definitely going to listen again; might even have to buy the paperback.
Took me a while to get in to the narrator cause he sounded older than the main characters, but he did a good job at having different voices for the characters.

Historia
In my defense, I was left alone with a bottle of single-malt and a lifelong penchant for protecting my baby sister. Still, that's no excuse to send 10 drunk-texts on why her hasty marriage would be a mistake. If only I had just texted my sister. But nope. I accidentally sent the message to her, her groom, and his super hot wingman. I also used the phrase “super hot wingman”, so I’d like to die now.

Predictable, but enjoyable! Funny, even if it's cringey at some points. Great narration! Worth the credit for a cute story. Will listen again.

Don't spend money on this
Revisado: 11-23-22
Christian and Teddy are always great, but even they couldn't save this book. I listened to the whole thing but I was so bored with it, I couldn't really tell you what it was about. Disappointing; don't waste a credit on this. If you wanna listen, only listen to it when it's part of the plus catalog and it's "free."

Historia
For Bella, the sweet-talking, free-loving, hip-checking student manager of the Harkness men's hockey team, sex is a second language. She's used to being fluent where others stutter, and the things people say behind her back don't (often) bother her. So she can't understand why her smoking-hot downstairs neighbor has so much trouble staying friends after their spontaneous night together. She knows better than to worry about it, but there's something in those espresso eyes that makes her second-guess herself.

Not the best
Revisado: 08-15-22
Since I listened to a couple other books in the series, I'm familiar with some of the side characters in this one, and every time Bella says "Rye-ker," I cringe. I'm about halfway through and I'm not sure if I'll finish. While the story is better than The Year We Fell Down, I'm still not a fan of these narrators. Teddy and Christian did much better with the one they read.
edit: Finished it, but would not recommend it.

Historia
She expected to start Harkness College as a varsity ice hockey player. But a serious accident means that Corey Callahan will start school in a wheelchair instead. Across the hall, in the other handicapped-accessible dorm room, lives the too-delicious-to-be-real Adam Hartley, another would-be hockey star with his leg broken in two places. He's way out of Corey's league. Also, he's taken. Nevertheless, an unlikely alliance blooms between Corey and Hartley in the "gimp ghetto" of McHerrin Hall.

Okay
Revisado: 08-12-22
I enjoyed Understatement of the Year, so I came over to this book in the series because I liked Hartley. I'm not sure I'm going to listen to any more of the books though. I struggled to get through this one.
There wasn't enough of the story from Hartley's POV, so when they hook up for the first time, it felt wrong. He's kinda pushy with her, and that can be fine, but there wasn't enough communication between them. Bare minimum, if we got more of the story from his POV, I'd know that he had good intentions.
The narration was just okay. Saskia was worse than Nick, but neither were great. And, if there's gonna be two narrators, it'd be better if the narrators always spoke for their respective characters.

Emery Thompson hates Calvin Chamberlain. From the way he acts like he’s better than everyone to the way he moves through the world thinking his podcast is the cream of the crop, every little thing about the man gets to him. Even that dashing, oh-so-confident smile. He’d rather be caught dead than be around the man any longer than necessary—or admit that last part out loud.

Five years ago Michael Graham betrayed the only person who ever really knew him. Since then he's made an art of hiding his sexual orientation from everyone. Including himself. So it's a shock when his past strolls right into the Harkness College locker room, sporting a bag of hockey gear and the same slow smile that had always rendered Graham defenseless.

Revisado: 08-04-22
Enjoyed this book a lot! It's a predictable enough story, but I really didn't mind. It made me laugh, get a little misty eyed, grin like an idiot, and left me wanting more; all I can ask from a book. Plus, being from West Michigan myself, I got a kick out of those references.
Found this book because Teddy narrates it. He and Christian were both great! I've never listened to Christian before and I'm going to have to listen to more narrations from him.
EDIT: Not even a week later and I listened to this book again because I couldn't get over it.
EDIT: I've listened to this countless times now! I love these characters and narrators. Whenever I finish a different romance, I'm eager to return to my Harkness boys.

Teddy is the only reason to listen
Revisado: 07-28-22
I'm about 2 hours away from the end of this book and I'm not sure if I'll finish. The story is predictable, sure, but it's enjoyable enough. The thing that is really killing it is Dake's narration. He has no emotion in his voice and it feels like he's disconnected from what he's reading. I really have to focus on the words when it's his chapters and like translate in my head the tone it should be read in. It's annoying because it makes me not like the character he's reading for and it has nothing to do with how the character is written.
I'm only listening to it because it's in the Plus catalog. I would maybe use a credit if Teddy read the whole book.

Historia
A funny and heart-warming coming-of-age story, set in a rural Australian community, about 17-year-old Jackson finding the courage to explore who he is, even if it scares him. 'I don't paint so much anymore,' I say, looking to my feet. 'Oh. Well, I got a boy who needs to do some art. You can help him out,' Aunty Pam says, like I have no say in the matter, like she didn't hear what I just said about not painting so much anymore. 'Jackson, this is Tomas. He's living with me for a little while.'

Revisado: 07-25-22
The book as a whole is very enjoyable and it's easy to jump around from review to review. I've listened to John's review of sunsets so many times I've lost track; I swear the book is worth it just for that one chapter. This book not only teaches you facts about the world, but it's also introspective and can teach you things about yourself.
