great book, great story
Revisado: 01-25-21
I love books telling great business success stories, although this didn't feel like a business success story, it felt more like Phil's story. While he is the main character, the only thing I'd say is I personally would have liked to hear more about the company, and less of the 5 minute explanations of how his wife felt sick after getting off a plane. etc etc.

Historia
Robert Iger became CEO of The Walt Disney Company in 2005, during a difficult time. Competition was more intense than ever, and technology was changing faster than at any time in the company’s history. His vision came down to three clear ideas: Recommit to the concept that quality matters, embrace technology instead of fighting it, and think bigger - think global - and turn Disney into a stronger brand in international markets.

While many people talk about how great it is to start a business, very few are honest about how difficult it is to run one. The Hard Thing About Hard Things is invaluable for veteran entrepreneurs as well as those aspiring to their own new ventures, drawing from Horowitz’s personal and often humbling experiences.

great book
Revisado: 01-15-20
I liked the story told at the beginning and then how the author goes in to discuss the learnings from his experiences. if you liked this, check out zero to one by Peter Thiel.

great for any business person
Revisado: 01-09-20
loved this book. it gives you Peter's greatest takeaways without overexplaining like many of these types of books do. it's very much aimed toward startups, especially in the tech world, but the principles can be applied to any business. 10/10 recommend.
