An Intense Albeit Timely Journey
Revisado: 07-20-20
Kendi intertwines his life and research this book personalizing the research and making it attainable on an emotional level. As a white woman, I expected to feel the sting of blame at times but never did. I only ever the sting of realization that I am not as antiracist as I thought I was. As I am becoming more aware of my own subconscious racism, I feel like the author masterfully creates space for self reflection on one's own racism as he in turn does the same. Not only is Ibram X. Kendi a great academic but he a skillful thinker and writer.
