My favorite of the Rinaverse

I’ve listened to this audiobook countless times. I love the duet narration. Niko and Bran’s story is complex, funny & sweet. Niko comes off like this chaotic bully…but the more you read about him the more you realize he’s really a softy; loving, thoughtful, and vulnerable. Bran’s story makes me cry at every listen, doesn’t matter if I know the outcome. Love their story!

CHEF’S KISS!

Although this was pretty much a copy of GoF, I still liked the story. Basically because the narrators brought the story to life. There were a lot of funny parts and I cried when Gareth spiraled. So happy to have the cameo performances from Teddy & Shane. It wouldn’t have been the same if there were different voices for Niko & Bran.

Shelby is hilarious. They had good chemistry… Jonah was so patient and caring. I wish the narration was duet instead of dual. They did a good job though…

Best of the three

I loved this series. I love S & S most because it was funniest. The narrators gave it more life. I loved how Fionn seems like the most innocent of the brothers but secretly has a dark side. Rose claiming to be a killer but doesn’t have the stomach for it. The way it came together and finished the three stories was perfect. Hope Brynne has more like this with superb narrators like this series had.

The story was so good! I loved both books 1 & 2. The narrators were excellent. Duet narration for the win! I am going to be a duet narration snob from now on…

I love this family!! I want a wise gram like they do….i love the spirit animal names for everyone. However, I really hate the narration…I really don’t like when the narrators read the opposite sex. Especially if there are two different narrators

Loved the story…the evolution of their relationship is beautiful. The only thing I didn’t like was the male doing the female voice and vice versa. Kind of cringy…there already is a male narrator why not have him read the male parts??

Love! Listened multiple times

Re-listen: I am reducing my performance rating down a bit. While I love Sebastian York’s narration, I feel Brooke Daniels needs to learn to read in character and not just read. She puts the wrong inflections on some of her sentences. It’s as if she is reading and doesn’t know how to end a sentence or is surprised that the sentence ended. Some of the time it’s okay, but other times it gets a little annoying and noticeable. Don’t get me wrong I love duet narrators (I’ve become a duet narration snob) but there needs to be better chemistry between the two characters.

Rina Kent has become one of my favorite authors. Her stories make me laugh, cry and yell. I have read the monster trilogy multiple times as well as listened multiple times here on audible. Having Sebastian York as one of the narrators is genius. I also like that the male and female voices were male and female voices respectively. It made for a more authentic story telling. And I love Kirill!! Love him even more as the story goes on in the remaining books.
