Historia
With unflinching honesty, A Life of Opposing Forces highlights the complicated but enduring relationship Michael Millin has with his parents as he navigates the interplay of light and dark in his own life. Michael shares his path from addiction to sobriety, challenging his own assumptions of recovery and confronting generational trauma. In the process, Michael exposes the reader to the incredible world of surfing and traveling. Throughout his journey, surfing has always provided a safe space for Michael. The ocean was more than an escape; it was medicine—and the key to his survival.

A Raw, honest, remarkable adventure.

Once I started this book, it was hard to stop. To hear Michael tell his lifes story, describe and voice the characters that have been in and out of his life adds a wonderful personal touch. I could feel in my heart the raw honesty and emotions behind these recollections. His delivery and descriptions put you there on his adventures.
I have never listened to a book with my husband, but he actually listened to this with me and I would hear his audible reactions to the stories over my dish washing.
You are an overcomer Michael Shawn and we wish you all the best.
