Props to Stina Nielsen for toning down the "eeeeether" this book. 😅 As always, JLA delivered. a lot more than my tender heart could take. The romance, the betrayals, the twists. I'm in LOVE but I screamed out of anger a lot and spent the majority of the book in tears 🙃

Second times the charm

I started TOG after reading the ACOTAR series. coming from that, I found it difficult to get into TOG. Now that I've gone through it more than once, I can honestly say I didn't appreciate it enough at first. Absolutely worth the read.

From the moment I scent her, I have to have her underneath me. The human female spins and runs straight into my chest. “Oh!” she says but then she stops, frozen as she stares up at me. “Hi.” I, too, am stopped in place. This female is nothing like the others I have seen. She is petite, with long flowing black hair. Her features are as foreign to me as any humans, but for some reason I find her face pleasing.

Not sure exactly what I should have been expecting, but I'm NOT disappointed in the least bit. I do wish some of the performance had better audio quality but the stories were.... actually really sweet...??? Which I don't find all that common in the genre. 10/10 would recommend.

My whole life has been about waiting. Playing it safe. Be the good girl, don’t color outside the lines. Put in the hard work trying to prove myself to Dad, then to my college professors, then to my boss at New World Media. Just waiting for the day when it will all pay off. And right when it was all starting to - I finally had the house, the job, I was even thinking about getting a cat - boom!

I honestly don't know how I feel right now. That was A LOT. I may need therapy to process how I'm feeling about this? I liked the story overall but.... there were moments I wasn't so sure I'd be able finish the book. Be aware, some of the scenes can be triggering.
