Historia
Gary doesn’t have all that much going for him. He’s a teenage boy who lives in a Tier-3 town that’s barely hanging on, and his family’s just a rung above dirt poor. Which is why he’s taken the very dangerous step of becoming an errand boy for the savage Underdogs gang. He doesn’t like what they do, but if he tries to get out, he’s pretty sure he’ll get very dead.

Decent
Revisado: 11-07-24
This book was actually pretty good! It gives a unique combo of anime yakuza meets teen wolf meets spider man. There were times I was rolling my eyes at some cringe moments but overall it was decent and I’ll likely continue the series.

It's Great!
Revisado: 05-18-24
Sometimes great stories are ruined with bad narrators.. this was not one of those times. Michael Kramer made this book amazing. In fact, he does such a great job with every character that I honestly don't know if the book was good, or if he was just phenomenal. Either way, I highly recommend this book. I hated for it to be over because at this time, there isn't a book 2 on audible.

Historia
As a 42-year-old single father, the last thing I expected before Christmas was for my daughter to sign me up for a community matchmaking event. The Christmas Buddies program becomes a challenge I can't wait to overcome when I realize the man that has been assigned as my buddy for the holiday season is none other than Paxton Montgomery. He's massive, grumpy, incredibly gorgeous (in a lumberjack kinda way), and also—weirdly enough—the only person in town who doesn't like me.

Voice Actors
Revisado: 01-02-24
The primary voice actor was fantastic but the mimic and chick doing all the female voices were terrible. Mimic was done waaaay over the top and the female characters were all squeaky and childlike. I found myself rolling my eyes and sighing in annoyance at both as the story went on. I don’t plan to listen to book 2 on audio for these reasons.. If anything, I’ll just read it but I’m still undecided on if I’ll continue the series.
If you enjoyed the Venom movies, you’ll probably enjoy this book.

Wasn't a fan
Revisado: 04-20-23
It felt like both MCs just tolerated each other. There didn't seem to be any love or empathy going either way. The "omega" character was written/spoken like a stereotypical mockery of a "female". Needy, pathetic, unable to do anything unassisted. The "alpha" character constantly gaslighted the omega and never stood up for him. The villain was like something out of a kids show, completely unrealistic and didn't make sense. I think a halfway decent narrator could have potentially brought this book up to a 3 star rating. Personally, I wish I hadn't spent the credit on this book as I've read better fanfiction on AO3, but hey.. to each their own.

Historia
I never believed in the whole “light at the end of the tunnel” folly where people, after having a near-death experience, would startle awake in a cold sweat exclaiming, “I saw the light!” But there I was, in this so-called “tunnel” facing a glaring light, when the last thing I remembered was sleeping in my room - the royal bed-chamber, as others called it. Had I died? If so, how? King Grey once benefited from unrivaled strength, wealth, and prestige in a world governed by martial ability but now finds himself reborn in a society dominated by magic.

Someone call Chris Hansen…
Revisado: 03-08-23
I don’t know how I finished something this cringy. It was simple enough that I could ignore it in my library for several months and start listening again without having missed anything. The MC is basically a god so you never feel any concern for him, everything goes right and he never makes any wrong decisions. He shits rainbows and sunshine. There are multiple bits of POV from other characters but they’re both only used to express awe at how amazingly perfect a child is.
Now, for the concerning aspects.. every little girl he meets, I’m talking like his 3-4 year old sister to 9 year old family friends, is described as a love interest. Ready to be more uncomfortable? He saves another little girl, who was 5-6 years old, and dialogue implied her LIKELY VIRGINITY. His “mother”, who is in her early 20’s, is also described in a way that is all valued on her appearance even though it’s briefly mentioned that she was a powerful healer. Her powers are never mentioned again, because her status as a “beauty” is more important and no one is allowed to outshine the MC in terms of ability. That said, all women “his mothers age” are just too old for him. This coming from an adult mind in a child body.
Overall, this book is super gross. Unless you want hours of looking at the inside of your head from the cringe and disgust induced eye rolls, I suggest you save your tokens and money for non-creep books.

Great sorry, whistling narrator
Revisado: 03-07-23
Story had sooo much potential, but it’s so hard to get past the whistle the narrator is making as he speaks. I had to rewind multiple times because I got so distracted by the sharp, consistent whistles. Drove me nuts! I was only able to finish it by pure willpower and desire to finish the story.

Mixed Feelings
Revisado: 01-16-23
So, where to begin...
These don't seem like m/m romances at all. It's like the "omegas" are just especially whiney female characters. The books are all eye roll inducing. BUT.. I don't know, I keep listening for some reason. Usually when books, especially on audio, get this annoying and cringy, I'll just stop listening. Things like "pleasure pearl deep inside", "I don't trust men" being said by a man, and "my last lover killed themselves when we couldn't be together so I've learn my lesson.. now I'm going to leave so history can repeat itself.. because I've totally learned my lesson". Also, apparently the worst doctor in the century? Guess it's just impossible to have intelligent characters with a plot this dumb. So many wtf moments, so many that I found myself exclaiming out loud as I listened to these train wrecks.
That said, for whatever reason, I've completed 3 of the 5 books and I've kept listening.. why? I have no clue. Sadly, I'll probably finish the last 2. Why? I don't know that either.

Historia
The job at Sunday Orchard was supposed to be temporary. A chance to gain some work experience, to have some fun. I had not expected to be welcomed into a family of gorgeous and weirdly efficient lumberjack-types, or to find purpose in the tiny Vermont town whose claim to fame seemed to be apple-based products and copious amounts of charm. And I most definitely hadn’t expected to fall for Knox Sunday, my grumpy, burly, fifteen-years-older, reluctant roommate, with his infuriating lectures, his hot-as-fire body, his superior attitude - I’ve never been one to put down roots.

Super sweet!
Revisado: 11-06-22
I don’t usually leave written reviews but this book was so sweet I just had too. The banter between the two was hilarious and the slow burn was perfect. I found myself smiling and actually laughing loud multiple times; I can’t say that about many books. I’m looking forward to reading more from this author in the future!

Meh
Revisado: 03-09-22
I don't usually leave bad reviews but wow. Dragons are super rare and about to die out but he knocks up a dude the first time they bone? Also, why are we rapy-boning people 5 minutes after meeting them? Especially when at best we think they're someone who wants a job and at worst a spy involved in killing our first baby daddy. The entire "romance" is so rushed aka instant, it feels like both the MCs are just bored and decided to be "mates" because no one else is interested in boning after 5 minutes. It'd be one thing if it was a destined soulmate kinda thing but no, it's a chosen mate because I guess they somewhat like each other? Maybe? Even though the "boss" is a major dick to the "bottoms" dogs? I can't even remember their names, sorry. I tried to enjoy this but the logic is just too far gone.. even for mpreg.
I'll leave one positive I guess.. the narrator was not bad at all. Not his fault he had to read this trash.
