As a book editor, Julia Morse lived and breathed stories. Whether with her pen to a manuscript or curled up with a book while at her beloved Fire Island cottage, her imagination alight with a good tale, she could anticipate practically any ending. The ending she’d never imagined was her own. To be fair, no one expects to die at thirty-seven. So when the unthinkable happens to Julia, rather than following the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel, she chooses to spend one last summer near those she loves most.

I enjoyed this story. Those that have been divorced will relate to the characters. Loved the author’s ability to create an unexpected ending. Loved the fact that the main character was not a victim but someone that thrived after a divorce.

UrbanMyth: It was lauded as an alternative to the performative, show-your-best-self platforms—an anonymous discussion board grouped by zip code. The residents of Manhattan’s exclusive Upper East Side disclosed it all, things they would never share with their friends or their spouses: secret bank accounts, steamy affairs, tidbits of juicy gossip. So when a “hacktivist” group breaks into the forum and exposes the real identity of each poster, the repercussions echo down Park Avenue with a force that none could have anticipated.

I love this book it was a very well written thriller. It kept me guessing until the surprise plot twist.
Revisado: 10-19-23
First I loved the development of the characters and the twists and turns in the story as it developed.
Second I thought the book was insightful in making you think about the morality of the “ No one needs to know” excuse to cover up the truth.
Third I thought it was about time someone wrote a book to pull back the curtain to reveal what really goes on in some communities in the United States. I live in Palm Beach County Florida, and the characters in this book are very similar to some of the women that live in this county. While some people might think the characters were unrealistic, This is not the case. I will tell you I know of a woman who sent three of her children to Saint Andrews, which is a private school in Boca Raton. This woman had an affair with the San Andrews lacrosse coach, and when her daughter got kicked out of Saint Andrews for cheating, the school was so very kind, not to put this on her daughter’s transcript, but rather allow her daughter to quietly transfer to a public school for some bogus reason so her daughter would not need to reveal the truth to Universities during the application process. In short the storyline was not far-fetched at all.
Certain private schools and mothers are very supportive of the “No One Needs to Know” excuse to cover up the truth.

Motivational…. Not Overwhelming. If you had to select one self help / personal improvement book to read, The Slight Edge is it.
Revisado: 07-25-23
I highly recommend this book. I have read more than two dozen self-help / self-improvement / motivational books. This book stands out apart from others. The Content is superb. Most importantly, it is not overwhelming. There’s so much in this book that will motivate you to take that first step to truly improve your life. I will definitely be giving this book to my friends and family. So appreciative that the author, Jeff Olson, took the time to share his wisdom with others.
