Book for 10 yr olds

Would you try another book from Rick Riordan and/or Kevin R. Free and Katherine Kellgren ?
The audio quality was awful could barely understand the woman's narration( I listen in my Mercedes deluxe sound system). I tried but just could not finish this book, got about 2/3 through and could not stand it any longer. Do not waste a credit.

Historia
It's springtime in Styria. And that means war. There have been nineteen years of blood. The ruthless Grand Duke Orso is locked in a vicious struggle with the squabbling League of Eight, and between them they have bled the land white. While armies march, heads roll, and cities burn, behind the scenes bankers, priests, and older, darker powers play a deadly game to choose who will be king.

Over the top
Revisado: 08-26-11
I am not compelled to write review very often, and when I do it is always positive. But, this book is awful.
I could not relate to nor did I even like any of the main people in the book. Not being a prude I am not offended by much.....but, wow, the language, the carnage, blood everything way over the top. I gave it two stars only because I listened to the ending, which was also a disapointment.

The worst book ever
Revisado: 07-16-09
Normally I read reviews and not write them. I feel obligated to write on this book mainly to warn future readers not to waste their money. Absolutely the worst book I have listened to in the four years I've been a member.

Boring at best
Revisado: 06-29-05
How anybody could rate this read better than a one is beyond me. I hve listened to 80-90 reads and got through all but this one. I could never follow where the author was going with a very narrow plot. Maybe if I listened for another hour or so, maybe not, to many great books out there. Cheers

great story

Totally entertained me. Could hardly wait to start my commute so I could hear more. The download format for my Ipod was not up to par [difficult to hear some characters and some were too loud]. Worth it!!!

Too farout for me
Revisado: 11-25-03
This book starts out great but fades into a reality that is far beyond my comprehension. It fades in and out real life experiences so fast that I found it hard to follow. I am 2/3 through this book but I do not think the ending will save it, but I will take the book to the end.

Historia
Return to James Lee Burke's "timeless, parallel universe" with detective Dave Robicheaux, as he investigates the murders of two women, tries to prove one man's innocence, and faces an enemy unlike any he has ever known. Gothic, dense, brutal, touching, and always compelling, Jolie Blon's Bounce is classic storytelling from a writer who has been dubbed "the Faulkner of crime fiction."

To each their own. Do not shy away from this great story because or the narrator, I totally enjoyed his presentation of the charactors. Five star for sure
