Historia
Thorne Manor has always been haunted...and it has always haunted Bronwyn Dale. As a young girl, Bronwyn could pass through a time slip in her great-aunt's house, where she visited William Thorne, a boy her own age, born two centuries earlier. After a family tragedy, the house was shuttered and Bronwyn was convinced that William existed only in her imagination. Now, 20 years later Bronwyn inherits Thorne Manor. And when she returns, William is waiting.

Easy Listening with a good story line.
Revisado: 12-23-24
A fun book to listen too. I love the how descriptive the author is, making you hear, see and feel the story line. I love history and this book brings you into parts of that time. Defining the differences from Williams time to ours. A good read/ listen. L

Historia
Texas in the early 1900s, its inhabitants still traveling by horseback and barely familiar with the telephone, was on the cusp of an oil boom that, unbeknownst to its residents, would spark a period of dramatic changes and economic growth. In the midst of this transformative time in Southern history, two unforgettable characters emerge and find their fates irrevocably intertwined.

Great story line
Revisado: 09-07-24
Great story line in lui of a little slow at 1st. the story draws you into the story line and the truth of secrets held and how it can effect the person(s) around them. When your driving force is with motive, greed, how it back fires and usually life wins. Enjoy

Historia
Isabella d'Este, daughter of the Duke of Ferrara, born into privilege and the political and artistic turbulence of Renaissance Italy, is a stunning black-eyed blonde and a precocious lover and collector of art. Worldly and ambitious, she has never envied her less attractive sister, the spirited but naive Beatrice, until, by a quirk of fate, Beatrice is betrothed to the future Duke of Milan.

Love this Book! I absolutely love the time in which this book is set. It amazes me the young ages in both men and women. How young the women were when they were to be married & start producing heirs . These are real people in their teens and twenties. What they endured. Reminding us that even though they were blessed with all the privileges, those privileges have their cost. I Really Appreciate the narrators voice and tempo in which she reads the book. She really brings the characters alive. You feel them, men and women alike, Bravo, Great read!
