Historia
Everyone from Wakarusa, Indiana, remembers the infamous case of January Jacobs, who was discovered in a ditch hours after her family awoke to find her gone. Margot Davies was six at the time, the same age as January—and they were next-door neighbors. In the twenty years since, Margot has grown up, moved away, and become a big-city journalist. But she’s always been haunted by the feeling that it could’ve been her. And the worst part is, January’s killer has never been brought to justice.

Mix of suspicion and secrets
Revisado: 08-23-22
At first I was feeling the book (I listened to audio version) was headed in a very predictable direction but the author was able to add so many slight turns making me more and more curious. I have to admit I was disappointed in the ending but with the addition of the epilogue I felt the story was complete. Thoroughly enjoyed. Not to mention Brittany Pressley is one of my absolute favorite narrators and Karissa Vacker was equally exceptional. I was a bit saddened as I had high hopes Ashley Flowers would narrate as well. I think her (Ashley) ability to add such deep drama with her voice would be well received in the audiobook world. Congrats Ashley Flowers on your first book and thank you for the great read.
