6 months ago I failed a gruelling Martial Arts grading (test), partially because I talked myself into failure. I was my own worst enemy and I made myself scared, doubtful and apprehensive. My negative internal dialogue manifested itself on the mat, where I crumbled under pressure, I had crushed my own spirit before I even stepped out to do what I went there to do. After some personal reflection I searched for something that would help me get on top of my afflicted mind and I found it in this Audiobook by Glenn Harrold. I spent many nights going to bed listening to this, sometimes waking up with positive words floating around in my head that I didn't remember hearing. I usually fell asleep before Glenn finished counting down from 10. There are two versions included here, one for when you are going to sleep and another for when you want to be awake afterwards.I re-attempted my grading recently and passed. I listened to this audiobook again in the morning before I went and managed to maintain a calm mind for the whole event. I found myself breathing deeply and repeating the positive affirmations while I was on the mat, telling myself to relax, that I was "Connected", that I have "Great Potential", and several other fantastic things that just made me feel really positive about myself and my performance. The human mind is incredible and given the chance, you can program it to achieve great things.
Glenn, I cannot thank you enough for this audiobook, your work is one of the main reasons I now have my Black Belt.
