Historia
My twin brother is the person I’m closest to. But now he frightens me. We both have the same white-blond hair and clear blue eyes. All our lives people have stared at us. So we had to be there for each other. Bryce tried to protect me from our dad. But when he died, I thought I was finally safe. After the funeral, Bryce takes me aside: “Since Dad’s passing . . . well, it’s been going on for a few years now. I’ve been keeping a huge secret from you.”

Interesting!
Revisado: 01-15-25
This book was very wild but interesting and keeps you on the edge. First time reading a book by this author and it kept me engaged to the very end. There was so much happening and you had to pay attention in order to take into account what was truly happening in the story. It was off the wall crazy at times and not to mention showcased people with their outrageous views and how they can so blindly follow archaic methods. I certainly will look forward to seeing more from this author in the future.

Historia
Sam Johnstone was hoping for renewal when he took a job at a boutique law firm in rustic Wyoming. The mountains and streams of the West would be a refreshing, quiet place to start over after years of war and turmoil in his personal life. But after a local woman is brutally murdered, Sam realizes that things aren’t so quiet in this rural American town. The accused is one Tommy Olsen, a known delinquent who had been sleeping with the victim. Sam is repulsed by the crime and wants nothing to do with the case but meets with Tommy to make sure he has legal representation.

Historia
Five days ago, aspiring crime novelist Jason Swike awoke chained to the wall of a run-down horse stable, convinced he would soon die at the hands of Crackerjack, the infamous serial killer who had terrorized the residents of Massachusetts for the past year - capturing and tormenting men, painting whimsical designs on their faces before shattering their bones and ending their lives. Just when death seems inevitable, Jason, with the help of another captive, manages to kill the madman and escape.

This book was absolutely brilliantly crazy but well written by this amazing author. I am in love with this author’s raw written talent. He stays keeping his readers on their toes and interested from start to finish. Jason irritated me throughout this book but that didn’t take away from how great this story was. Ian was down right entertaining and crazy in his mindset, but I believe Lamont Briggs is the MVP for me lol.

I have to say this second book in the series is just as good as the first one. I loved seeing all the returning characters as well as some new ones. Loved Bo and his fight for justice and what is right, even if it went against the grain. Loved his love for his family and friends more. Loved Helen and her continued struggles and her conflicting feelings towards her son, but the ending kind of gives us a little revolution in that aspect.

Historia
Alex Armstrong has changed everything about herself—her name, her appearance, her backstory. She’s no longer the terrified teenager a rapt audience saw on television, emerging in handcuffs from the quiet suburban home the night her family was massacred. That girl, Alexandra Quinlan, nicknamed Empty Eyes, was accused of the killings, fought to clear her name, and later took the stand during her highly publicized defamation lawsuit that captured the attention of the nation. It’s been ten years since, and Alex hasn’t stopped searching for answers about the night her family was killed.

What a shocker!
Revisado: 12-26-24
I didn’t see that ending happening but I had a feeling. WOW! This was so good and it keeps you at the edge of your seat from the very beginning. I loved this story a lot. I couldn’t get enough. I’m still floored about everything that happened and how everything came full circle by the end.

Shocked!
Revisado: 12-21-24
This book was good and it kept my attention from start to finish, while keeping me at the edge of my seat the whole time. However, we’re left with a couple of unanswered questions. I wanted to know the answers to. Our female character has gone through a lot but survived her ordeal and by the ending she is tested once more.

Very good read!
Revisado: 12-19-24
First time reading this author’s work and I wasn’t disappointed at all. The story was intriguing with dark themes but it still keeps you at the edge of your seat from start to finish. I loved the element of trying to push through and survive because any day might be the last. However, our main female slowly evolves and becomes stronger with the help of a particular male character, who I loved a lot. Yes, he’s the type of male character I root for, flaws and all. I definitely loved the back and forth between them and all their interactions as well as their intensity. I wasn’t expecting their relationship to take a turn in that direction, but I was hoping it would. Loved the shocking ending more and I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book in this promising series.

Historia
Macon is the oldest. Thirty-one. Ex-Marine. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him smile. Army is twenty-eight. A single dad with the most beautiful green eyes. He has no idea who he is, if not a Jaeger brother. Iron will be in prison soon. You’d never think it to meet him. He’s a nice guy, actually. But he can’t stop reacting to everything. Dallas is the one I hate. Twenty-one, cruel, and selfish. He takes and then throws away whatever’s left. And Trace is mine. Or he was for about two seconds. No one can tame him for long. Not that I ever wanted to.

What a ride!
Revisado: 12-08-24
This book was awesome and very emotional from start to finish! I couldn’t get enough of all the characters. I couldn’t stop listening, every chapter was good and interesting with so much depth and characterization. The author makes you feel deeply for these characters and what they go through and what they are facing, particularly with their enemies. Macon was certainly my favorite brother, but all the brothers are intriguing and I can’t wait for their stories. This book doesn’t disappoint.
