Heartfelt & Inspiring, a good read!
Revisado: 08-23-07
I chose this book, thinking it would be a story about a woman who triuphs over great tragedy. That type of book always inspires me. I found it to be so much more.
It is an account of well-educated Kristens experiences being tragicly wrenched from her everyday American life and the course her life took after that. She was a happily married, stay at home mom taken into adversity she could never have dreamed of, losing her beloved husband in the 9-11 attacks.
I appreciated the political education that she gained the hard way. That was a bonus.
She is an inspiration. Kristen is strength and grace under fire.
She really should run for office!

Good Read
Revisado: 07-18-07
Honestly,I was hesitant to pick this book.I did not think I could stand to hear the sad/gory details. Honestly, I thought it would be depressing. However, I was rivited to the trial with the rest of the country.
This book was fasinating.I felt like I had spent the evening having Sharon Rocha over for dinner and she she shared her heartwrenching story with me. Sharon narrated and did a great job.
I got the abridged version (fearing the detail in the unabridged would be too much)
I now feel I would like either.
I am the mother of a 20 something daughter, and My heart goes out for Sharon and the whole Rocha family.
Laci was such a beauty . Like the rest of the world I still cannot understand, WHY?
Sharon is such a strong woman, God bless her.
I appreciate her sharing her story. Reccomended!

Historia
By the time James Frey enters a drug and alcohol treatment facility, he has so thoroughly ravaged his body that the doctors are shocked he is still alive. Inside the clinic, he is surrounded by patients as troubled as he: a judge, a mobster, a former world-champion boxer, and a fragile former prostitute. To James, their friendship and advice seem stronger and truer than the clinic's droning dogma of How to Recover.

An Exciting adventure. I know there is alot of controversy about the author, and if it is a biography or fiction. It is a great read, either way. The story is vivid and well told. The narator does a good job. I did not want it to end. So,I also purchased "My Friend Leonard " James Frey's seqequel.I enjoyed that also.

Delightful !
Revisado: 10-06-05
What a joy! The book was well written and had the perfect narrator. It was a combination of romance and History. It was a tale I did not want to end. It brought the past and present together nicely.
