Historia
In this comprehensive new book, doula and birth educator Bailey Gaddis offers frank girlfriend talk and expert advice about pregnancy, childbirth, and early motherhood. During her own pregnancy, Bailey had many unanswered questions she felt were too taboo or embarrassing to ask. To help other women have a more informed, less cringey experience, she went on to train as a birth professional, and her work has inspired this book.

I first found Bailey after reading her first book Feng Shui Mommy. Her writing style was so fun, clear, and humble it felt like she was reading the book to me. So to be able to then listen to her second book was such a treat. She goes over all the questions a pregnant woman could possibly have and encourages a release of shame by sharing her own, raw stories. She really goes there and it makes the book so much more relatable. You don't feel like someone is telling you how you're supposed to do pregnancy, birth, and parenting, but someone is sharing interesting info with you and helping you figure out what path feels best to you. Because of this I recommend both of Bailey's books to my clients (I'm a midwife) and many of my colleagues do as well.
