Historia
When Muslim fundamentalists blow up a key Soviet oil complex, making an already critical oil shortage calamitous, the Russians figure they are going to have to take things into their own hands. They plan to seize the Persian Gulf, and more ambitiously, to neutralize NATO. Thus begins Red Storm, an audacious gamble that uses diplomatic maneuver to cloak a crash military build-up.

Deleted Aft.5 Hrs of Listening (listened too long)
Revisado: 07-07-12
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Faster start and a DIFFERENT Narrator (reader)!
Would you ever listen to anything by Tom Clancy again?
.... Not if Prichard is the reader.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Too Mundane/Blase and monotone in nature!
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Barely!
Any additional comments?
I won't purchase another Clancy work if read by Prichard. And furthermore, won't purchase any Clancy work w/o listening to a sample first.

Mixed Emotions
Revisado: 08-18-11
My review title truly expresses my feeling about this tome. I enjoyed the story line, albeit from outter space (no pun intended) and it kept me interested and entertained. But I found this book to be overladen with insignificant manushia that in this readers (listeners) mind to be fluff/filler. (the aforementioned equaled the removal of half a star)
(the following represents the removal of 1-1/2 stars) I found the reader of the narrative to be terrible, with no inflections, voice variances for different characters or apparent involvement with the action-at-hand! To describe the reader in one word, I found him to be "static". Aside from the two issues mentioned, I enjoyed the "read"!

Historia
On September 20, 1998, a Cuban-born former Red Army lieutenant named Jose Vigoa launched a series of raids on the Las Vegas Strip. During a 16-month spree, Vigoa robbed five world-class hotels, three armored cars, and one department store. The casinos hit were the MGM; the Desert Inn; the New York, New York; the Mandalay Bay; and the Bellagio. Lieutenant John Alamshaw, a 23-year-old veteran in charge of robbery detectives, was ordered to stop the robberies at all costs. He knew he was up against a mastermind. What he didn't know was that he was running out of time.

Waste of Time
Revisado: 06-16-08
Sorry, but this one left me cold. The author
spends much to much time on the personal background of the characters. I'm interested in surface information, but I really don't care how good bad or indifferent a characters sex life is. After two hours of listening, I did something I've never done in 212 audio books .... deleted it!

Great Book ........
Revisado: 03-26-04
This book has just the right amount of 'fact' mixed in with the fiction to really make you wonder where one ends and the other begins. I highly recommend this book and found it both entertaining and interesting in more ways than one.
To top off the subject matter, I might add ....... It's well read!

Starts Slow, But Picks Up Steam Fast ........
Revisado: 03-26-04
....at first I wished I hadn't downloaded it, when suddenly it began to capture my interest. From that point on, as another reviewer stated, "It was hard to put down". You will find yourself trying to second-guess the author, only to be completely surprised.
I not only found the book to be entertaining, but I became entwined with it's interesting characters ...... especially The Last Juror!

Just as I Suspected ....... and More!
Revisado: 03-26-04
"misskb" is right-on, this is the worst 'listen' I've experienced since joining Audible, but I'm not going to waste as much energy as she did belaboring the point.
This book validates my suspicions of November 22, 1963, I have always felt LBJ was at the bottom of everything that culminated in the death of Kennedy. I am a self proclaimed "Kennedy Assassination' junkie and have read most of the books on the subject and have NEVER subscribed to the Posner, Warren Commission, FBI and Secret Service theory(s) of that day. This book will open your eyes to how raw power corrupts and has no bounds. You need only ask a simple question still used today to begin all crime/murder investigations ..... "Who stood to benefit the most from the occurance"?
I would have awarded 5 stars were it not for 'the reader', with that said, I consider this book a 'must read' if your into the Kennedy Assassination and/or conspiracies.

Historia
George W. Bush arrived in the White House an untested governor with an unfortunate habit of tripping over his own tongue, presiding over an economy slipping into recession, and a nation more obsessed with reality television than with the reality of international terrorism. He was considered by many opinion-leaders a dupe, an illiterate, a cowboy, a preppie, a child of privilege. Now, it is clear to John Podhoretz that Bush has become, and will be remembered, as one of this nation's strongest leaders.
