Casteel Da’Neer knows all too well that very few are as cunning or vicious as the Blood Queen, but no one, not even him, could’ve prepared for the staggering revelations. The magnitude of what the Blood Queen has done is almost unthinkable.

The War Is Just The Beginning
Revisado: 03-17-22
I have no words to describe this incredible ride you're about to experience with this book. My feelings are like a raging tsunami right now and I'm absolutely left speechless after reaching the end. It's hard to form a coherent sentence at the moment, let alone review this book. To say it was mind-blowing would be an understatement because this book left me in such a high that I can't get down from.
The audio was perfectly done and both narrators did an amazing job with this book. All the feelings were transfered with such care to details.
I was hesitant to start it. Anxious if Jen could top TCOGB and ASITE, which were in my eyes top in the genre, but she obviously proved me wrong with this sequel. It was so much more than I expected. So many things happening, so much new information, so many questions answered, and many more raised. And how well thought all twists and turns were – some were expected but some developments I didn’t see coming at all. There were new characters that would certainly play a bigger part in the future, old ones that you would grow to love even more. And on top of that ALL THE FEELS – this book has the full gamut of emotions - from sadness, helplessness, to anger, frustration, nervousness, determination, excitement, passion, and so much LOVE. That was the key word in this story. The power of love and it's endless varieties. Unconditional love, so strong and so beautifully written that it warmed my heart and centered everything in this story.
And what can I say about the characters? Jen created this unique world that she keeps expanding and developing, but the real drive in this story were the colorful characters. They are so vivid and realistic to me I feel them like real people.
However, if all that is not enough, I could tell you the battles are epic – so colossal, each action described in such details, that I felt like I was fighting them myself. And last but not least, the spice level was through the roof and I loved how well entangled in everything else this part was.
The ending was simply jaw-dropping and I’m still sitting here processing everything I’ve read.
The queen is only one and her name is Jennifer L. Armentrout - the queen of high fantasy. I'm in awe with the mind and talent that created all this. Best book by JLA, best book in the series, best book in the genre, best high fantasy EVER!

Chosen from birth to usher in a new era, Poppy’s life has never been her own. The life of the Maiden is solitary. Never to be touched. Never to be looked upon. Never to be spoken to. Never to experience pleasure. Waiting for the day of her Ascension, she would rather be with the guards, fighting back the evil that took her family, than preparing to be found worthy by the gods. But the choice has never been hers.

If I could give it 10 stars, I would. This is my 2nd time reading this and I'm glad I picked the audio. It was so well done, the performance outstanding with all the accents, different voices, intonation and acting all the emotions to the very last detail. It was phenomenal. The reread was even better, cause I knew the story and didn't rush forward to see what was happening and trying to figure out the big twists. I enjoyed and devoured each word and marveled at the utter perfection that book was. So well though, with so many twists, tangled plotlines, complex characters that you couldn't resist to fall in love with. This book has to be read/ listened and felt. No words are strong enough to give it justice 😍 The audio was amazing as well, but it's the story that would swallow you whole and wouldn't let go till you reach the end. and then... well, then you'll want the other one 🥰

Holy alien babies and origins and burning shadows!
Revisado: 10-09-19
That was another unforgettable story in this world that I don’t want to EVER leave. I grew so attached to these characters, experienced so many ups and downs with them that I feel them like they are part of my family now.
I don’t know where to start with all the emotions I experienced with this book. It was intense, it was sweet, it was romantic, it was action-packed, it was funny and also sad at places, it was full of twists and turns and gave me all the feels. And this audio version was simply amazing. Saskia Maarleveld gave so much life to the characters and depth to the story, Loved her performance as Evie.
The first part of the book was a bit uneventful in terms of fights but I loved it nonetheless. I enjoyed the revelations of some long-kept truths and the slow-burning romance that was growing with each page. I fell head over heels in love with Luc’s character. Not that I wasn’t at this point but he completely stole my heart piece by small piece.
Evie was his match made in Origin heaven and his better half. They were so great together and their love grew even stronger than before. I loved these slow, sweet and very romantic moments as much as I loved the crazy action-packed ones.
After one point things started happening one after another and the story swallowed me whole. It was a real page-turner. So intense, wit lots of jaw-dropping scenes and some nail-biting ones. Absolute whirlwind of events, revelations and new developments that left me wanting for more.
I had tears in my eyes every time someone from the Lux gang made an appearance. It was so cool to have a glimpse of their lives 4 years after the craziness that was Opposition. I don't want this story to EVER end and to leave this world and the characters I grew so attached to. Lux was the 1st I read from Jen and it'll always have a sentimental value for me, but this spin-off story is taking it to a whole new level. It’s absolutely amazing and keeps the intrigue going the whole time.

The first time I met Vaughn Sanders, I knew I wanted her. Confident, intelligent, and downright sexy. I thought I knew how to play her game. I was ready and willing for the challenge. Little did I know she was full of secrets and surprises...but so am I. Charming a woman into my bed has never been my problem. It’s the relationship part that is. They want it. I don’t. But can you blame me? Broken marriages are how I make a living. Hell, no self-respecting man would let a woman own his thoughts, invade his dreams, and steal his heart. So how in the world has Vaughn done that to me?

REVEAL all the feels with this 5 star listen
Revisado: 09-25-19
What a great sequel and finale to this fiery duet. It was unputdownable, top best from Kristy and definitely one of my tops for 2019. Such an intriguing plot, so many twists, and turns, so many surprises along the way. All truths were REVEALed and everything wrapped up nicely in this fast-paced whirlwind of a story.
And this audio performance!! Holy WOW! What an incredible job by Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor. I've been a fan of Jason from before and it's always a pleasure to listen to his voice. He was THE perfect choice for Ryker and nailed all the emotions of his character to the last detail but Samantha Brentmoor was a pleasant surprise as well. I haven't listened to her so far, I think, but she really gave depth to Vaughn's character and heightened the experience with this story with her acting. So well done and will definitely be listening to this again.
If you think Resist was a rollercoaster of emotions, this one will completely blow your mind and put you through a vortex of feelings. Intense, jaw-dropping, sexy, with lots of layers, REVEALed one minute at a time.
The angst, the passion, the romance, the witty banter were front and center here as well, but there was a touch of suspense and some political games and scandals thrown into the mix to spice up this explosive story. I was pissed one minute, angry the next, then I was biting my nails, repeating NO WAY to the wall, wanting to throw my kindle at said wall, considering strangling Ryker, then Vaugh, then the both of them, then I wanted to kill some characters or downright gauge their eyes out...well, it’s true…The constant racing of my heart and the anxious flipping of pages was telling how much K. Bromberg nailed all emotions to the last detail.
The romance was passionate and steamy. It was fire and sparks one minute and then turned into a sweet, melt-your-heart, swoon-worthy romance the next. I grew so attached to that couple I wish there were more books. They were both “work-in-progress” but aren’t we all? They messed up, they made out, they hated, they loved but they protected fiercely the people they loved and were ready to move hell and earth for them.
The writing was immaculate as usual. I didn't doubt Kristy's ability to deliver on the emotional side of this story and we knew there would be some real drama involved with the way things ended in RESIST. But what was really intriguing in this sequel was the complicated subplots, all tangled together with so many lies, secrets, wicked games, and attempts to gain control.
Intriguing, angsty, heart-stopping, pulse-racing, passionate, steamy, sweet and so so emotional. This duet had all the feels and this conclusion wrapped up nicely this exceptional story. Don't miss this story on audio, because this performance was outstanding as well.

What an intense and emotional story that was. I was wary to start this book since everyone was referring to the Drazens when it released and I still haven't read any of these books, but I decided to just jump and go from there. And I'm so glad I did. This was such a beautiful story, so angsty and heartfelt. The whole narration going from past to present was so well done. I love such stories that reveal the truth slowly, layer by layer and keep you guessing, keep you on the edge. This had some pretty emotional parts, some action-packed and nail-biting moments and definitely kept my interest from start to finish. And add to that the exceptional performance by Emma Wilder and Teddy Hamilton. They absolutely nailed these characters to perfection. It was really gut-wrenching to listen to some parts. They were so well-acted and heightened the experience for me. There were some unexpected twists and turns and some expected ones, but the intrigue was present the whole time and the story flowed nicely between past and present.
Carrie was a courageous woman who has lost track of her life goals for a while and had settled trying to please her family but she quickly found the right path back again. And Gabriel...well, he was just dreamy and whatever I'm going to say about him will not give him justice. I was in awe with his strength and the fierce way he loved. Definitely top BBF material.
If you are in the mood for some drama, second chance romance with a touch of suspense, then this would be a perfect choice. And make sure to pick the audio version because it was amazing.
The book was made as a stand-alone and everything referring to Carrie's family was explained. So you are good to go even if haven't read any of the other stories. I haven't and I didn't struggle with anything in this plot. The story flowed nicely and swallowed me from page 1. Beautiful story and exceptional audio performance.

They say revenge is a dish best served cold. I’d had four years to stew on what Daria Followhill did to me...now my heart was completely iced. I took her first kiss. She took the only thing I loved. I was poor. She was rich. The good thing about circumstances? They can change. Fast. Now, I’m her parents’ latest shiny project. Her housemate. Her tormentor. The captain of the rival football team she hates so much. Yeah, baby girl, say it. I’m your foster brother. There’s a price to pay for ruining the only good thing in my life. She’s about to shell out some serious tears.

4.5*
Another great read in this world. I really loved it. Very real and emotional. I was hesitant to start it since I’m not a fan of such extensions of famous series, but I was curious to see our fav Hot Holes in parenting mode. The book was very realistic and I suppose everyone who’s gone through teenage years or been a parent could find something from himself in this book. Insecurities, hesitation, doubt in oneself. It doesn’t matter how much money you have and what is your social status, the outside looks could be pretty deceiving.
I wasn’t a fan of Daria, to be honest, and was hesitant about her, but in the end she grew up on me and I loved the development of her character. Penn, on the other hand, was Shen’s typical bad boy that steals our hearts. They were both like dynamite. An explosion meant to happen. With lots of fire and passion.
However, the audio was definitely the cherry on the cake of this story. The voices were perfectly chosen for the characters and they gave so much depth to the story and heightened the experience from it. Definitely a great listen and I highly recommend to go for it.
I can’t wait for Knight and Luna's story 😍

Agreeing to meet Ryker Lockhart is my first mistake. Rich, handsome, and more than intriguing, he thinks blackmail will bend me to his will. But he’s wrong. I may have done a few things that weren’t exactly legal, but I have my own reasons for that. The last thing I’m going to do is let some high-powered divorce attorney come into my life, have my body, and rule my heart. Not to mention ruin everything that I have carefully built in just a short amount of time.

Do not try to RESIST it! Sinfully delicious!
Revisado: 07-31-19
Holy mother of all things irRESISTible! This book was an emotional roller-coaster galore and you wouldn’t want to RESIST it.
I simply couldn’t put it down. So captivating, intense and angsty, but at the same time very emotional and heartfelt. The writing was impeccable and it gave me ALL THE FEELS I’m looking for in a book. Romance, steam, passion, fights, drama, witty exchanges are only a few of the ingredients in this explosive, emotional concoction. Add to that an irRESISTible hero and you’ve got the full package
And that narration! Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon put these characters to a whole new level. Absolute perfection. They gave so much depth to the characters and made them real.
Ryker Lockhart was exactly the bad boy type of guy I usually fall for. As a high-powered divorce attorney, the man was used to getting his way. He exuded confidence and strength but he was also a bit aloof and brooding which made his character even more intriguing.
Vaughn Sanders was his match made in heaven. Sassy, defiant, independent and ambitious. Typical Bromberg heroine.
To be honest, I wasn’t expecting her backstory. But she was such a complex character, with so many layers to be revealed. Her past was really emotional and poignant. A tangled web of events that she was really trying to work through and she was doing the best she could, so I admired her for that. She was a strong, confident woman on the outside and a very vulnerable one on the inside, which made her all the more realistic.
Their power fights were very sexy and witty. Both trying to get the upper hand, both wanting to pull the reigns and be ahead of the game. I wanted to strangle them at some places for their stubbornness and pigheadedness. But it was kind of fun to watch them try to one-up each other.
And wow! The ending was the cherry on the cake. Buckle up and hold on to your Kindle tightly, cause you may wanna throw it against the wall. I kid you not. I wasn’t expecting this turn of events, but now I can’t wait for the next book to see how they are going to settle this whole mess they got themselves in and what would be REVEALed.
Emotional, intense, steamy, angsty, and with lots of twists and turns along the way, this book was one of the best I‘ve read by Kristy and a top one for 2019.

Such a great addition to the other books of Driven
Revisado: 06-28-19
I love this man and his voice, could never get tired of listening to it. When someone hears a book from the guy’s POV, they always think it is copy and paste from the original. And in most cases it is. Not with this book though. There is so much of Colton in this book and we really get to see his thoughts on so many scenes in the first 3 books. Some of them we’ve already read, some are new, but it still brings all the feels.
And the audio! OMG this is the sexiest male voice out there. I love this narrator something fierce. He speaks and sounds just like I imagined Colton would. Amazing job! I laughed and cried along with him with this book, cause he is cocky and arrogant, but he is also very vulnerable and has a soft spot deep within. My absolute favorite male character EVER!
