Fire, floods,mud slides and a beautiful love story

For those of you who follow my reviews, you know that I am a huge Catherine Bybee fan. I will pretty much read anything she writes. And obviously, My Way To You was not an exception. And I was definitely not disappointed. This is a slightly different story than the typical books Catherine Bybee writes but it is equally good and in a way just special. It is also a story about heartbreak, strength, new beginnings and learning to trust and depend on others again.

I have to say that Parker is probably one of my favorite characters ever. Her strength and love for her siblings makes an incredible human being. And even though faith tries to break her spirit with the personal loss and natural disasters thrown her way, she just doesn't give up. And just when her life starts uraveling, she finds the support and love she needs in Colin.

This masterfully written story captivated me with the depth of the characters and their feelings but also with the way Catherine Bybee describes the natural disasters that faith throws in the characters' path. And knowing that those disasters were something the author lived through herself, just made the scenes feel that much more real.

In addition to Parker and Colin, the secondary characters were also very well developed and intriguing. I just can't wait to get my hands on the second book in the series and find out what happens with Matt and Erin and how their story developes. Time cannot fly fast enough.

Dirty, Sexy, Hot

I love Laurelin Paiges books and some of my very favorite ones, are those from the Dirty Series. The moment I met Donovan and Sabrina, I was also intrigued by Weston. By the time I finished the Dirty Filthy books, I knew that I wanted to know Weston's story and what really happens between him and Elizabeth. Well, I got my wish and I definitely enjoyed this story. It was intriguing to get to know the characters and read how their relationship develops.

Though initially the relationship between Weston and Elizabeth is all fake, the feelings that start to develop between them with the time they have to spend together, are very real. But secrets and past mistakes are threatening to destroy the fragile relationship that has developed between them.

If I have to be honest, I was at times a little bit disappointed by Weston's character. There were times when he was more a beta than an alpha male. Especially in his interactions with Donovan. I guess, I expected him to be a little bit dominant than that. Though in his interactions with Elizabeth, things were slightly different. I think that's the main reason I rated the book with 4 stars and not 5. On the other side, the audio was superb :D

I am not saying a word more, as I don't want to spill the beans :D But keep in mind that there is a cliffie that might affect the health of your kindle or listening device :D So, be careful :D As for me, I can't wait until the second book comes out :)

An incredible story. Definitely a MUST listen

Where does Hero rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is one of the best books I've listened to. The story is incredible and the performance is spot on. It simply brought tears to my eyes.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Lydia was my favorite character. Her strength, inner beauty, hope and determination made her one of the best female characters I've ever encountered

Have you listened to any of Lauren Rowe and John Lane ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, I have. They are a great team and bring these incredible stories to life. But in my personal opinion, this one is their best so far.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I will leave that one to the professionals. I am not that good in writing stuff :D

Any additional comments?

I love Lauren Rowe's books. She has a unique writing style that has always captivated me, as I am sure it has done with many others. She has made me laugh with her words and just as easily has broken my heart with her incredible stories . But the story she tells with Hero is out of this world. In my opinion, it is one one of the most heartbreaking stories I've ever read. But it is also so much more than that. It is a story about overcoming crippling heartbreak and pain, about healing and finding happiness again. It is an incredible story that should be a must on your bookshelves and one of the must read books for every book lover.

Lydia and Colby are two incredible and captivating characters. But in a big way, I think Lydia stole my heart. I am usually very critical about female characters but this one is extraordinary. I was bawling my eyes out for her within the first two chapters of this book. So be ready with a box of tissues by your side before you even start reading. You will definitely need them. So, be warned. But reading how she managed to pull herself together after probably the biggest heartbreak of her life and finding the strength and desire to help others is simply incredible. Though her heart is still wounded, she finds the strength to continue living. And even braves the possibility for love and happiness again. There is just something so beautiful and hopeful about that that it made her stand out in comparison to other female characters. And I am sure, she permanently has a place in my heart.

But don't get me wrong. I did love Colby too. He is literally the knight in shining armour. I can very easily imagine him as Prince Philip rushing to fight a dragon and save Sleeping Beauty. Or as Prince Charming running to find his Cinderella. He simply has a heart of gold and is ready to give his life for saving another person. Which he actually does for a living. What with being a firefighter and all. And that's what in the end gets him to meet Lydia. Though, I have to say, it might have been easier on my poor heart if they met in normal circumstances ;)

So I am going to stop here because I can talk about this book for hours but I don't want to accidentally spill the beans :D Keep in mind that this is a stand alone. You don't have to read any of the other Morgan Brothers books to enjoy this one. So if you haven't read Lauren Rowe before, be sure to give this book a chance. It is totally worth it. And if you have, then you know you can't go wrong ;) In any case, this is a must read so you should pick your copy ASAP ;)

I loved every single minute of this book. the story is amazing and the narrator does a great job at relating it. Definitely a recommended read and listen.

An awesome and funny read.

I so loved this book :) It is a light and funny read with just a pinch of heartbreak. Violet is hilarios most of the time with her inapproprite and durty comments. There were some scenes that made me laugh so hard I was crying. And if you are looking for a new BBF, you definitely need to meet Alex and his Super MC. He might be rough around the edges but he can be quite romantic. And let's not forget that he is a god in the bedroom or whereever he can melt your panties with his smoldering eyes or dimpled smile :)

A hot romantic story with a twist

Would you listen to Dante's Fire again? Why?

Probably. I enjoyed the story and I was able to relax listening to it. The narrator was good and she kept the story interesting at all times

What other book might you compare Dante's Fire to and why?

Actually, I don't think I've read or listened to anything similar and that's one of the reasons I enjoyed it so much.

What does Anne Johnstonbrown bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I liked how she changes her voice for the different characters and how she manages to express their feelings through her intonation.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Not really, but I still enjoyed the story immensly

This is a really intriguing story. It is not the normal romantic suspense story and I would really enjoy listening or reading more books in the series :)

What made the experience of listening to Taken by Tuesday the most enjoyable?

I love this series and this one didn't disappoint. This is the first book I buy also as an audio book and I definitely didn't regret it. This is one of the best audio books I've listened to and it is narrated amazingly good, so I definitely recommend it.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Taken by Tuesday?

I think that would be Rick. I do love a hot Marine ready to do everything for the woman he loves. And a bonus to that is that he is smart, entertaining, romantic and tender :)

What about Tanya Eby’s performance did you like?

I haven't listened to any audio books, narrated by her up till now but I will definitely check the rest of the books she narrated as I really loved her work on this one :)

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

What are you ready to do for love? (I have no idea, I am not good in that stuff)

What made the experience of listening to The Man Who Holds the Whip the most enjoyable?

The story was definitely hot and interesting I enjoyed listening to it but I don't recommend listening to it out of your home. Too HOT for that ;)

Who was your favorite character and why?

I loved Grace because of all her inexperience in the BDSM scene but at the same time she was really interested in it and ready to try everything as long as it was with Ian

Which character – as performed by Scarlett Day – was your favorite?

I loved how Scarlett Day portrays Grace :)

It definitely made me hot but I don't think the story was such to make me laugh or cry

Would you listen to Saltwater Kisses again? Why?

Most probably. I love the story and considering that I listened to it even though I already read the book most probably I would listen to it again :)

What was one of the most memorable moments of Saltwater Kisses?

I love the moment when they meat and then in the end of the book when she goes to the river and the flowering threes and he comes after her to apologize and tells her he loves her :)

What about Alicia Harris’s performance did you like?

She is really good in personalizing the different characters and very easily understandable. I definitely enjoyed listening the book :)

It definitely made me laugh. The book is easy to read and the story is just lovely :)
