Fascinating story

This is one of the books that totally grabs you and you cannot put it down. The setting for the story was not one that I am familiar with — Russian sniper during WWI, fighting against the Nazis. And she is a woman, which brings in lots of interesting facets to the story. Great narrator and intriguing story. I highly recommend it.

Excellent read

Kate Quinn really knows how to weave a story. I was riveted by this book. I love the historical fiction genre and I would say she enhances it greatly but being such a wonderful story teller. You get to see the multiple characters across time and follow their lives. Highly recommend.

What an amazing book. I was pleasantly surprised to have Elizabeth McGovern as the narrator. She was excellent. The story goes places I didn’t expect and spans over many decades. I couldn’t stop listening to it.

Tugs at your heart strings

I’ve now read about 10 of Kristin Hannah’s books and they are all excellent. First, she is an amazing storyteller. Second, the character development is great. You really feel like you’ve gotten to know these folks. Lastly, it’s so clear that she does her research and the technical info provided adds depth and complexity to the book.
Bottom line? Excellent read. You won’t want to put it down and you probably won’t. Then you will miss it.

Another outstanding book by Kristin Hannah. I marvel about her incredible ability to tell such a complex and complicated story. As always, her characters stay with me. I feel like I know these people. I also learned a great deal.
Hard to put this book down. It grabs you and draws you in emotionally. Highly recommend.

Another wonderful story by Kristin Hannah. You will love the detail in this book. Certainly quite emotional and you made need tissues a few times. I couldn’t stop listening to it. Highly recommend.
