Historia
Twelve-year-old Lidia is outside her grandfather's house when planes fly overhead, bearing the Nazi cross on each wing. Before the bombs hit the ground, Lidia realizes her life is about to change forever. Poland has fallen under German occupation, and her father makes the brave decision to join the Polish army to fight against the Nazis. Lidia wants to follow him into war, but she's far too young, and she's needed by her mother and brother. After her family returns to Warsaw, Lidia continues to play the piano, but she also wants to aid the Jewish people held captive in the Warsaw Ghetto.

Historia
This is the story of one of Church history's most revered women, the godly mother of John and Charles Wesley. This biography recounts the story of a woman who used her strong leadership and faith to raise well educated and spiritually disciplined children. Her unwavering devotion to God and family in the face of grief, poverty, and a sometimes difficult marriage is a tremendous inspiration.

Inspiring …
Revisado: 04-02-23
One of the best books I’ve read recently for spiritual encouragement and for parenting instruction. I want to raise my kids to know and love God like she did. Also this is one of my favorite readers. I look for books specifically read by her.

Wonderful perspective
Revisado: 03-05-21
I loved the perspective this book gives of the lives of these 5 women in Christ’s lineage. The narrator was not my favorite. And in the story of Ruth it was so annoying that she kept pronouncing Orpah as Oprah. But I could look past all of these for the sake of the wonderful story.

Historia
With the story of her conversion as a backdrop, Rosaria Butterfield invites us into her home to show us how God can use “radical, ordinary hospitality” to bring the Gospel to our lost friends and neighbors. Such hospitality sees our homes as not our own but as God’s tools for the furtherance of his kingdom as we welcome those who look, think, believe, and act differently from us into our everyday, sometimes messy lives - helping them see what true Christian faith really looks like.

Challenging and encouraging...
Revisado: 01-04-21
The realness of this story, the day to day and practical information really helped me. The honesty was refreshing. The not pretending to have it perfectly worked out but allowing the Lord to use the imperfect to minister to those around you was just what I needed to be inspired with.
