Historia
A young man lives among the trees of a primeval forest, raised by a wizened old sage and friend to the faeries and spirits of his home. He bears only half a name—Lien, an ancient word meaning "blade" or "edge"—and no knowledge of his heritage. As he grows, so too does his need for independence and answers. Thus, he begins his adventure, seeking a shattered sword and the truth behind the mysterious mark on his right hand.

Not enough story
Revisado: 11-15-23
If you like long monologues of technical detail of power enhancement, you'll most likely like this book.
Like listening to someone read a manual with bits of story in between.

Just like the main series, these three books were worthy additions bringing different perspectives and flavours. It perfectly sets up the final book. Cannot wait to listen to it!!!

Historia
Defeated, crushed, and driven almost to extinction, the remnants of the human race is trapped on a planet that is constantly attacked by mysterious alien starfighters. Spensa, a teenage girl living among them, longs to be a pilot. When she discovers the wreckage of an ancient ship, she realizes this dream might be possible - assuming she can repair the ship, navigate flight school, and (perhaps most importantly) persuade the strange machine to help her. Because this ship, uniquely, appears to have a soul.

Binge worthy
Revisado: 11-27-22
Another immersive story by Brandon Sanderson. He just knows how to create characters and plots that take you on a journey of discovery. The characters get to grow and develop at a good pace. Loved the narrator Sophie Aldred and the way she uses accents. Definitely a series to sink your teeth into.

Just some good old advice
Revisado: 02-01-22
This is just some good old advice. As it was one of the books in the included catalogue I thought it was worthwhile listening to. A few gems here and there. Listen to it and take what you need.

What a wonderful gem of a book
Revisado: 01-28-22
The story moves along at a good pace and develops into a stimulating read that kept me interested up to the end. Could definitely read more like this!
Although the narrator at times sounded like a hypnotherapist, it was not off-putting and the story itself will keep you listening along.

Just delightful
Revisado: 12-31-21
I just love this series. With every book the plot thickens. You can just feel how the pace of the story picks up as it progresses until it leaves you with an end that is both satisfying and leaves you salivating for more.
MacLeod Andrews as a narrator blows extra life and personality into each character.
Together the writer and narrator produce magic.

Historia
The Tournament of the Sacred Sword sounded like exactly the type of thing Keras would enjoy: a series of challenges for thousands of contestants seeking a chance to fight for the Sacred Sword of Earth. He knew there would be challenges. It wouldn’t be a high-stakes tournament without a few high-profile assassinations and mysterious murders, after all. But Keras wasn’t ready to run into someone from his homeland, and he certainly wasn’t prepared for the revelations that came from their confrontation.

I'm so hooked to this series now
Revisado: 12-07-21
What a wonderful addition to the series. I loved how the characters developed more depth.
The story moved along at a good pace and the narration was excellent once again. I think Nick and Andrew makes a winning team (kinda like a weapon and weilder).
The only negative is that I have to wait for the next book in the series (like Dawn had to wait for someone to free her from the rock!)

Transformational
Revisado: 11-22-21
There's so much to learn from this book.
The honest sharing of her own feelings and thoughts allowed me to appreciate the message she was trying to convey. The narrative remained compelling and I found myself both amazed at her stories while it also allows for the reader to reflect and grow with each patient she describes.
I would say her life, her stories, this book is inspirational through its honest reflections and assessments.

Dresden is back!
Revisado: 10-27-20
Yay! The Harry Dresden I know is back. I generally enjoy the check mate situations that he finds himself in. Sometimes I think Mark Butcher really hates Harry, but I guess he has his reasons.
Some of the battle scenes reminded me of Dragon Ball Z.
Overall it produces the same journey I experience with a Harry Dresden book. Now the wait for the next one. Hopefully it will not take as long as peace talks 🤞🏻
