Determined to give his wife and children a better life back home, Ivan Pritchard ventures to the edge of known space to join the crew of the Mad Astra as an asteroid miner. I haven't read the author's previous works. I enjoyed the story. It had an original plot and kept me entertained.

Historia
Putting a woman on her knees before me is what really makes my cock hard. I f**k with dominant force and absolute control. I demand complete surrender from my conquests. Savage man, loner, warrior... I am dangerous at my core. I have lived amidst the untamed wild of the rainforest, in a society that reveres me and where every woman falls before me in subjugation. Now I've been discovered. Forced to return to a world that I have forgotten about and to a culture that is only vaguely familiar to my senses.

Firstly, the narrators, because as we all know, a bad narrator can absolutely slaughter any book. Kristen Leigh is a total goddess. She sucks you in and never disappoints. Lee Samuels, when reading for Zac is great. He did a really believable version of Zac that is pretty close to perfect. The only slightly negative thing that I could say is when he is reading for Mora (sp?), where he brings in a sort of b%$chy condescending tone. Its not anything that takes too much from the story, however, because he doesn't read for her often.
I have a new favorite sexy book author! This book is amazing! Great story, hawwwwwt sex scenes, wonderful, wonderful character development taking you right into the folds of their lives. I became so emotionally attached to these characters that I'm sad the book is over. I'm sure I will listen to it again.
None of the typical BS and emotional baggage that usually tarnishes errotic story lines- this story has a complete tale to spin which could stand its own, without the sex. The sex scenes and sexy interactions, however, will have you squirming in your seat, all while your heart swells with true affection for these smart, witty, mature characters! Great book! Many thanks to Sawyer Bennett for the great tale (and tail)!

Historia
When you gamble with desire, be prepared to risk everything.... Unlike the rest of the Hell's Eight brotherhood, Ace Parker's home isn't on the range. This restless cowboy craves the hustle of Simple, Texas, a lawless town where he can sate his darker appetites without guilt. At least he could until Petunia Wayfield arrived. The prickly new teacher is insisting that Ace help her rid the town of drunkenness and card playing. For that kind of miracle, Ace demands a reward the spinster schoolmarm will surely never give.

If you love Sarah McCarty books, you'll love this one too. The only thing I wished for was more of that raw, sexual tension McCarty weaves so well. I'd recommend this book.
