This is the most impactful book I’ve ever read

I am in junkie for self improvement. I have read hundreds of books, and this book is my favorite of them all. His simple approach is way more effective than anything else that is available. Moreover, he is a great guy, from what I can tell, and lived his life in accordance with what he teaches. I would recommend this book to absolutely every single person in the world if I could, if everybody in the world knew the principles in his book and internalized them, the world would be an amazing place.

Excellent book

This book was an excellent listen. Lily’s story is very intense and her ability to recall it all and tell her story is very impressive at her old age. It serves as a reminder that we can never forget about what happened in the Holocaust.

Cliché’d and unrealistic

As a successful business operator, I know firsthand that what he recommends we all do is at best hopeful and pretty unrealistic. For example, when he was talking about his morning routine, I was thinking him saying “Well, I finished my morning routine, now it’s time for lunch!”…. basically I’m saying it’s too time intensive. I think this book is a great spark for creativity and introducing new habits into your life, however I do not think it should be treated as a Bible or prescription by any means. When rubber meets the road, a lot of the suggestions he’s offering, like having an hour of guilt free alone time, aren’t things that are easily adopted or possible. In reality, since most people reading these sorts of books are busy people, we should pick a few things out to implement. I can imagine a naive 20-something doing all these things and being exhausted by the sheer amount of items to complete, and burning out and quitting all together. My message to anyone reading my review: 90% of successful people don’t do *everything* he recommends! They may do half or only a few things he does, but they do it with intention. You should find what those are for you, and do those!

He knows what he is talking about

I really like this book because he is actually a practitioner in his field. So many books I read are from armchair business experts who give advice, but that advice breaks down under the stress of the real world. His is the opposite - he provides a lot of practical advice for growing and maintaining wealth, common pitfalls to avoid, enjoying wealth, and enjoying life. Overall, great read. Also the book isn't also overly long and filled with fluff, he goes straight into the advice quickly. Overall, 5/5
