Historia
Half a century ago, an aberration was spotted by one of our earliest satellites, and summarily dismissed as a hardware malfunction. But it was no aberration. And no malfunction. It was an accidental glimpse of something extraordinary, and very old. Mocked for decades, the man who designed the satellite is now dead. With the system's original data firmly in the hands of former NTSB investigator Joe Rickards and anthropologist Angela Reed.

Over the top Melodramatic Nration
Revisado: 05-09-23
No one, and I mean no one, actually talks like Scott Brick narrates. EVERYTHING is just total over the top melodrama. Brick is not an action narrator. The book might have been pretty good, or not. I could not get by the narration.

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Historia
Demonstrating once again her gift for spellbinding storytelling, Anne Rice makes real for us a great dynasty of four centuries of witches - a family given to poetry and incest, murder and philosophy, a family that over the ages is itself haunted by a powerful, dangerous, and seductive being called Lasher who haunts the Mayfair women. Moving in time from today's New Orleans and San Francisco to long-ago Amsterdam and the France of Louis XIV, from the coffee plantations of Port-au-Prince to Civil War New Orleans and back to today, Anne Rice has spun a mesmerizing tale.

A 10 hour book stuffed into 50 hours of naration
Revisado: 10-08-22
Painful to listen too, There were some places where It started to pick up, but for the most part, it is a long long drawn out story without much of a point. I could not finish it. I think I got in 35 hours and finally it was give up or start pulling my teeth out. Wa really hoping for better.

A new network of armored trains carry supplies and industrial equipment crucial to rebuilding the country. But along the rails, one area of America is still mired in darkness, violence, and danger. Annoying Snooze Fest
Revisado: 10-08-22
The story is mediocre, but the narration just kills it. The pace is s-l-o-w and many of the main characters are voiced as whiney wimps. It grates on you after awhile. I finished it but only because I was painting the living room and needed something to preoccupy me.

Misleading title but not bad
Revisado: 01-06-21
The "Hunt" only last about a 1/4 of the book if that much. The rest is just how he played them while in custody. It actually makes the prosecutor look like a dolt. Still it is not a bad book. The narrator does an excellent job.

In Battlefield America: The War on the American People, the follow-up to his award-winning book A Government of Wolves: The Emerging American Police State, constitutional attorney John W. Whitehead paints a terrifying portrait of a nation at war with itself and which is on the verge of undermining the basic freedoms guaranteed to the citizenry in the Constitution. Indeed, police have been transformed into extensions of the military, towns and cities have become battlefields.

Zero Credibility
Revisado: 11-13-19
An interesting listen, until 3 hours in when he started ranting about AR 15's being Military Grade Weapons of War. Claiming they were the same guns used by our Military and Police. Having retired from the US Marine Corps with over 20 years of active service, this is complete balderdash. If he will lie about something so easily debunked, and so easily researched to try and make a point, I have to wonder what else is pure BS too. I'm just not going to give him another 5 hours of my time to find out.

Historia
Who do you trust? Who can you depend on? James Beltz's modern-day gunslinger, known to the rest of us as DJ Slaughter, returns in this thrilling sequel. Book one left us with a massive cliffhanger. Book two serves to answer all of your burning questions in the very first chapter. However, in a sudden, neck-snapping plot twist, you will only be left with more questions. Nice job, James. Very nice job indeed... The first book was a break-neck pace of thrilling adventure, reminding this reviewer of the first season of the Fox TV series "24".

Mr. Rogers Reads an Action Novel
Revisado: 09-26-19
This was actually painful to listen to, I gave it a good effort, and made it all the way to Chapter 12 before just giving up to save my sanity. The Narrator should stick to children stories. Just awful narration for this kind of book. As for the story itself, well, Mr. Beltz writes about things he knows little about. Maybe a little research would help, but I'm betting he spends more time in his garden than he does at a shooting range.

Historia
Once, I was nothing. Hungry, abandoned, wandering, and alone. An adolescent street rat fighting for crumbs. Then a chance encounter changed my entire world. A man in an expensive suit asked me how much my life was worth. I didn't have an answer because I didn't know. He asked if I thought it was worth killing for. Impulsively, I said yes.... He found me, then fostered me, and, in the interim, turned me into a killing machine.
