Jocko brought me here
Revisado: 04-30-21
Heard Ryan on Jocko’s podcast. Followed him on social media and bought the book. As someone who aspires to be one and will always hold Green Berets in the highest regard I was excited to get the chance to hear one’s story. Absolute fantastic book, and I was able to complete the audiobook during my runs and gym sessions in about 3-4 days.

Historia
Members of the military’s special operations branches share a closely guarded secret: They love their jobs. They relish the opportunity to fight. They are thankful for it, even, and hopeful that maybe they’ll get to kill a bunch of bad guys while they’re at it. You don’t necessarily need to thank them for their service - the pleasure is all theirs. In this hilarious and personal memoir, listeners ride shotgun alongside former Army Ranger and private military contractor and current social media phenomenon Mat Best, into the action and its aftermath, both abroad and at home.

Revisado: 04-12-20
The best way to enjoy this books is to have Best himself read it to you. From the amazing wild stories to the humility in his words for what his future my hold this book was much more than I had expected.
If you’re considering this book. Pull the trigger. But listen to every detail and every word. You’ll not only be entertained but educated as well.
Thank you for your service Mat.
