Historia
When Penny Dahl calls the Finders Keepers detective agency, hoping for help locating her missing daughter, Holly Gibney is reluctant to accept the case. Her partner, Pete, has Covid. Her (very complicated) mother has just passed away. And Holly is meant to be on leave. But something in Penny’s desperate voice makes it impossible to turn her down. Meanwhile, mere blocks from where Bonnie Dahl disappeared live Professors Rodney and Emily Harris. But they are also harboring a shocking, unholy secret.

Super, super political...
Revisado: 05-05-25
Love Stephen King and am generally a left leaning person - vaxxed, boosted, the lot. But 2 hours into this and every other line is covid and/or Trump bashing. It's honestly exhausting, even from the same side of the aisle.

Historia
Bruce and Mike finally made it home. But the battle for the future has just begun. The Louisiana farm that Bruce and his allies had built to survive the end of the world was everything they could have hoped for — but no one had planned for the endless horde of fast, smart, and ravenous blue zombies who could think, heal, and even reproduce. Now, as they gather an armory of military weaponry from abandoned outposts all across the countryside, Bruce and his growing clan of survivors realize the truth — their compound can be the beginning of a new and rebuilt world.

Reads like a high school boys wet dream...
Revisado: 05-18-24
If a teenage boy dreamed up the apocalypse this would be it. All the characters friends and family are dead but not one seems remotely sad about it. They're also all basically green berets who can shoot 64 zombies with 70 shots while riding on horseback. The hero has a huge member and half the book is spent admiring it. Lots of weird polyamorous undertones. Hero feels like a cult leader that the author tried to make you like. Wanted to like it but it's soooo cringy.

Historia
Harriet and Wyn have been the perfect couple since they met in college—they go together like salt and pepper, honey and tea, lobster and rolls. Except, now—for reasons they’re still not discussing—they don’t. They broke up five months ago. And still haven’t told their best friends.

Story of 30 something's acting like 16 years olds...
Revisado: 07-04-23
The characters in this book are 30-ish years old, but:
- think their relationship is so important to their friends they have to pretend to be together
- tally their drinks in lipstick on their arms
- rely on condoms, which they forget then struggle to resist
- do a lot of "I have to leave you because you deserve better than me."
By the end of this I actively disliked pretty much all of the characters. Save your money, read something else.

Historia
It is the Black Dawn, a time of environmental apocalypse, the earth wracked and dying. It is the Bright Day, a time long generations hence, when a peace has descended across the world. In each era, a child shall be chosen. Their task is to find a dark messiah known only as the Crowman. But is he our savior - or the final incarnation of evil?

Absolute snooze fest...
Revisado: 02-05-23
I couldn't even finish it. The story absolutely drags on at times, and is full of clunky dialogue, awkward sequences of events, and tons of ethereal dream scenes that don't add much. I wanted to like it since Stephen King said the author was good, but this one is a hard pass.
