Love the characters and narration. Sometimes the characters made me crazy. Life is messy. This story is real. It was the happiest possible ending.

Great story that provides a lot of details!

I’m not sure that I would’ve loved this book if I hadn’t listened to the complete deadwood series 1st. This is a great story on its own and it’s starting to fill in some of the missing details from the deadwood story. I guess it’s the prequel. From the 1800s. Totally enjoy! Ready for the next one!

Unexpected ending

Just finished listening to this book and I’m not sure how I feel. I absolutely loved every part of the book and was riveted. I kept expecting a twist at the end but when it came, it was not at all what I expected. Left me feeling empty. An odd thing to say but… I’ll definitely listen to it again. Perhaps I will have a different takeaway. Either way, it was a great book save for the last 10 min.

After listening to book one of the killers series I was hooked! For the first time ever I listened to that book again immediately after finishing. Then I upgraded my membership so that I could listen to the rest of the series. Love the characters in this series. Enjoyed the Grady and Maya as much as crew and Addie! Will listen to them all!

Very enjoyable story. I had listened to the chef to go a mystery series and fell in love with The authors writing style. Those also had a great narrator. I nearly turned this book off due to the robot like narration. Luckily the story was interesting enough that I didn’t focus on the poor narration all the time.

Binged the entire series

Really enjoyed this entire series. The characters, plot development, twists and turns were wonderful! I loved gore and vampire stories as a young adult reader. Many years later, while I still enjoy the fantasy, a plot driven story without all the gore was a most welcome change. Nothing better than bringing together science-fiction with time travel, layers of other worldly beings and dimensions, an interesting take on heaven and hell. I’d give The cirque du freak series more than five stars if I could.
