Historia
The company of the Ring is torn asunder. Frodo and Sam continue their journey alone down the great River Anduin - alone, that is, save for the mysterious creeping figure that follows wherever they go. This continues the classic tale begun in The Fellowship of the Ring, which reaches its awesome climax in The Return of the King.

So Good!
Revisado: 09-14-24
I listened to the first book using this same narrator and I am amazed! His skill of portraying the characters in personality and voice is unmatched. Each character sounds so close to the movie actors you'd think you were listening to the actors themselves. The storyline is great of course and kind of nice that it's not exactly like the movie. Gives some mystery still

Historia
In a sleepy village in the Shire, a young hobbit is entrusted with an immense task. He must make a perilous journey across Middle-earth to the Cracks of Doom, there to destroy the Ruling Ring of Power - the only thing that prevents the Dark Lord Sauron’s evil dominion. More than I expected
Revisado: 09-13-24
I expected it to be like the movie but it was different and alike in ways. Liked that you get more explanation of what's going on. Love these movies and wanted to get the original story. The narrator, Andy Serkis, is fantastic! He really brought it to life. Looking forward to reading the other 2!

Historia
Jack Torrance's new job at the Overlook Hotel is the perfect chance for a fresh start. As the off-season caretaker at the atmospheric old hotel, he'll have plenty of time to spend reconnecting with his family and working on his writing. But as the harsh winter weather sets in, the idyllic location feels ever more remote...and more sinister. And the only one to notice the strange and terrible forces gathering around the Overlook is Danny Torrance, a uniquely gifted five-year-old.

Interesting story
Revisado: 09-08-24
Keeps you interested as you follow along, good narration too. Had one part involving children that disturbed me though. Could have made the story without it.

Historia
Bridgeport, Connecticut, 1974. A crowd of more than 2,000 onlookers gathered. National media reported jumping furniture, floating refrigerators, and attacking entities. Decades after the publicity quieted, more than 40 hours of never-before-released interviews with police officers, firefighters, and others tell the story as it actually unfolded.

True Story
Revisado: 06-13-23
What drew me to this book is that it's an actual story. But it left much to be desired as far as experience. Rating given as props to real story and coverage.
